I think it was more that he didn't show up at a single event in 10 days. It gave the impression that the gay community wasn't important enough to bother with. That upset a lot of people, gay and straight alike.

This coming from the mayor or ran on a "Respect for Taxpayers" campaign slogan. The man is a ridiculous stain on our great city. He's turning Toronto into a circus and a laughing stock.

I read a few articles concerning this, and something just seems off. I'm not defending him, his politics, or policies.........it just seems off. Give the Mayor a piss test and see what you get. I'm thinking it's a scam to get some money from Fords political, social opponents.
 
Ford is a joke whether or not he smokes(d) crack. He seemed like a hero during his campaign but turned out to be a zero once in office. Gridlock keeps getting worse, the busses and subways are either full to capacity or completely underused and there have been more shootings here than I can ever remember... Does he need to smoke crack for us to get rid of this guy ?

There is a reason Ford is hated in Toronto not just by the media but by A LOT of people. I am from Toronto and anyone from Toronto knows that Ford is like a disease he needs to be eliminated or removed from office.

Ford has skipped the annual gay pride parade for the past two years instead spending time in his cottage with his family. Ford is the mayor for all of Toronto and he doesn't seem to get it.

Ford claims the Toronto Star is out to get him but even conservative newspapers like National Post and Toronto Sun are sick of Ford. Even the right wing media see that Ford is unstable the man clearly has mental health and probably substance abuse issues he's not fit to be mayor of Canada' s largest city.

Ford's circus antics have overshadowed City Hall he has this attitude that he thinks because he's mayor he can do whatever he wants. However, the truth is city council has the power NOT mayor Ford and many times city council has made this man look like a fool by dismissing him and doing what they want to do. Ford has made a lot of enemies in Toronto.


Ford is so obnoxious, arrogant and he has entitlement issues. Ford has REFUSED to say anything about the crack scandal he simply said the allegations are ridiculous BUT this asshole has not denied he used crack either.
 
I'm so embarrassed of Rob Ford. I can't believe he actually won the election. Smitherman was way out front right up to the last minute. Ford's antic's put the e-health debacle in the distant memory. Maybe even the Liberal's gas plant fiasco too. Ford is eerily quiet too. Something big is going to happen.

Oh, and that video, a fu**ing scream!!! I loved it!

He's been dodging the issue. Except for calling the accusations 'ridiculous', he has been going out of his way (including sneaking out the back door of City Hall so he doesn't have to answer questions) to avoid it. He has yet to make an official statement on the issue. Like everything else he does, he just closes his eyes and plugs his ears and hopes that it will all just blow away.

Toronto’s Catholic school board has removed Mayor Rob Ford as head football coach at Etobicoke’s Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School, ending a decade-long affiliation that has brought Ford personal joy and political praise and criticism.

The school board’s decision does not appear to be related to the crack cocaine scandal Ford is now facing — which centres on a video in which an intoxicated Ford appears to refer to Don Bosco players as “just f---ing minorities." The board had been reviewing Ford’s role at Don Bosco since March.
