Political violence against anyone not White, straight, Christian, and male has been endemic since at least the Civil War. I'd tell you to go ask the Black residents of Tulsa, but they are dead.

Yeah, they were. They are worse now than they were 10 years ago, but we haven't quite gotten to the state-sponsored lynching and jury nullification of Jim Crow just yet.

That doesn't even cover all the myriad ways people of color and us homos had to suck it up on everything from micro aggression to outright beatings on the street. Vandalism, rape, murder, it all went unpunished.

It was the same people committing all of it, and what the same people want to bring back.
 
Ok, got it. There are no more mobs of organized swastika waving Nazis roaming on overpasses, marching through towns, shouting their hate, and also quietly infiltrating and inserting themselves in nearly every aspect of politics, media, education, and daily life all over the country.....than there ever were. Everything is just like it always was. Got it. Nothing has changed.

They are infiltrating all levels of society and politics, spreading their Nazi indoctrination in school boards, churches, local, state, and federal governments and agencies, every form of media, marching, banning books, taking over state legislatures, fearlessly carrying swastikas in ways they never could before. They've wormed their way into every aspect of society, and perverted the basic values and institutions of our democracy. They are spreading their fascist hate propaganda, splitting apart the country with their lies, while pretending it is patriotic and christian.

No. It's not just like it always was. There are more actual Nazis and Nazi sympathizers than ever, along with their silent supporters who will vote them into power.
They are a clear and present threat to the survival of our society and our country.

They are not just little isolated extremist groups like they were.

They are everywhere now.

Excuse me, under Jim Crow, the Nazis were the state, who do you think was under that hood, the sheriff, the chamber of commerce, the county judge, the preacher, your dad, and the football coach. If anything, they are less entrenched now than they were in 1930. They are trying to destroy our Democracy now because our Democracy no longer votes them into office universally - and they know if they can't end democracy, democracy will finish ending them

Their constituency is dying off and they damn well know it - in another 10 years, they will be even less of 1/2 of 1/3.

They are FREAKING EVERYWHERE. They are not just old southern white men anymore. They've invaded and infiltrated everything all across the U.S. They are young mothers, students, millennials, blue collar and white collar, every profession and position. If they're not actual Nazis, they're sympathizers who will vote for Nazi ideology. They are not dying off. They are flourishing in resources, support, numbers, power, and influence across all society.

But you just keep denying and thinking they are a vestige of a dying constituency. They aren't. They're a burgeoning menace, a monster that will eat this country alive if they are not stopped somehow.

If there are 100 million of them and they are everywhere...then history will takes its course and America will die in darkness.

The fact is, there are no laws against being a Nazi in the US.

So even if no one is denying the magnitude of the threat they pose, what legal means of recourse would you suggest to deal with them?

Keep telling me what "I want" because I refuse to panic [Text Removed]. Obviously, no one in here wants these people to succeed, [Text: Removed]. They are just not the majority of anything, there are tons of other people out there that you can talk to, and saying it's otherwise and futile just sounds like an abdication of responsibility.

People just don't seem to understand the size, the scope, the urgency, or the danger of this threat to our country and our lives as gay people, and the need to fight back against it. That is the only point I'm trying to make.

Every time I try to raise the alarm, it is diminished, dismissed, rejected, ignored, just it was in Germany.

I've done what I can. I'm done. I'll never post on this again.

But once again. There is no law against being a NAZI in the US.

For worse and not better maybe...although the 1954 laws against being Communist are still on the books. This should tell you something.

When the Nazis in America start having rallies under their banner in Madison Square Garden again...and they have a political leader flying the Swastika to rally behind, then it it will be time to cry havoc.

The US is not a bankrupt, defeated country like Germany was after WWI, so quite simply, one of the cornerstones of the rise of the NAZIs to power is missing. Perhaps a crushing depression would set the stage for the far right to take power in some form...but the hatred of Jews and minorities really isn't going to get much traction in a polyglot nation...which Germany was not. Hating on blacks and hispanics and jews becomes pretty fruitless when there isn't massive unemployment. The fact is, even the oligarchs that run the US are smart enough to see that there is no one else to do the work...or buy the products.

The SPLC is very interested and concerned with Nazis in the US. In fact, it is a core part of their business and work to monitor far right wing hate groups.

It is good to follow them.

We don't have their thugs and bombs but we do have a weapon which they will never have. Fascists have no sense of humour. Laugh at them. They hate that more than anything.
