New Joss Whedon Drama Coming in Jan - Dollhouse

you'd think Whedon would know better than to deal with Fox in the 1st place. i wonder what're the chances of the show moving to a different network...Sci-Fi perhaps?

Don't you mean Sy Fy?

The explination still sounds suspect to me, but for the sake of Whedon I hope he continues to make many a more episode.

didn't get that comment...explin?

SciFi changing their name to SyFy

Here's an explanation I found on Wiki (I was wondering why they decided to after making this post):

On March 16, 2009, Sci Fi announced that it is planning to change its name to Syfy, to end confusion over how to capitalize and stylize their name and as part of an on-going rebranding effort. Network officials also noted that, unlike the generic term "sci fi" which represents the entire science fiction genre, the term "Syfy" can be protected by trademark and therefore would be easier to market on other goods or services without fear of confusion with other companies' products. The only significant previous use of the term "syfy" in relation to science fiction was by the website SyFy Portal, which became Airlock Alpha after selling the brand to NBC Universal (represented by a shell company) in February;[6] there are however a number of unrelated firms using the similar term "syfi", such as information technology company SyFi Global. The new name is scheduled to take effect on July 7, 2009.

I wonder when they'll just develop honesty, change their name to The Really Dumbass Horror-Movie Channel and be done with it.

Tonight's episode wasn't so bad. A bit predictable, but otherwise not bad. The dumbest line though goes to Victor. As cute as he is, the line "There were people fighting on top of me" had me shaking my head.

And how hot was Alan Tudyk. I can't peg where I've seen him before, but he seems very familiar to me.

Linxus87, he was Wash on Firefly and in Serenity.

The Dolls are very simple and childlike in their neutral state. It was a dumb thing to say, but the blank Victor would say something just like that.

I was really crushed to see that Alpha cut up Victor. That kind of means they can't use him any more. :-(

I thought tonight was a fantastic episode. And poor Victor ;_;

Oh, and Alan Tudyk was the bomb as Alpha!

The Dolls say things like that all of the time. They're very innocent and, frankly, give Captain Obvious a run for his money.

Yeah, I know they are going to say stuff like that, but that was the oddest line to date, lol.

Never watched any of Whedon's shows other than Angel, so I hadn't seen him from there.

As for Victor being cut up. If Topher and what's her face can make a person go temporarily blind to insert a camera, shouldn't they be able to fix them up? The dolls are constantly put in dangerous situations. I know they don't come back unscathed.

I liked the finale, as it gave more insight into Caroline, and Alpha. Loved the reaction Dr. Saunders had when she/he found out he was implanted into Whiskey. So Whiskey was the top Doll, until Echo came on the scene. Poor thing.

Dollhouse has been renewed!

(and there was much rejoicing)

It isn't completely and totally officially Official yet, but it's pretty solid news.

YES! I think the show is finally hitting it's stride, and perhaps with a bit more advertising, it can hit a larger following. Maybe if they focus less on Echo, seeing as many people complain about Dushku's ability to act, more will watch. I so thought this show was done

Thanks for posting that (*8*)

Actually from what i was able to gather, the show had some pretty bad ratings but i think that with respect for Joss and the fans, they decided that they would renew it and give it a shot and to see what happens, now for the bad news the show is still on Friday nights.
I bought the DVD set and as a personal thought i loved the unaired episode epitah one, this episode was fantastic.
I heard that the season two premiere episode will air September 25, the bad news that Fox only order 13 episodes.

Has anyone seen the 13th episode yet (Epitaph One)? It is phenomenal! Set in the future and just turns everything on its head. It was weird finding out what happens to so many of the characters in a few years and knowing that we still have to see how they got there. It's like you're watching some completely different show but it's still the same Dollhouse we've come to love. And apparently the characters from the future we're introduced to are going to be featured to some extent in the 2nd season :D.

I have to wait longer again to see S2 but I loved S1 all 13 episodes were shown here by the English SYFY Channel yes I saw network interferance at the start but it just kept getting better and better. Love Alpha he better be comming back for a little longer.

Additional guest stars appearing throughout the upcoming second season include Alexis Denisof("Angel")...

Oh my! *fangasm*

Additionally, Dr. Claire Saunders/Whiskey (Amy Acker) and Madeline/November (Miracle Laurie) return this season in multiple-episode arcs.

Great! Dr. Saunders/Whiskey is one of my favourite characters and I was worried that she would not be important in the 2nd series due Amy Acker having other commitments.
