Up until the past couple of weeks, I was able to easily go to various websites (either Hulu.Com or a TV station’s website) to watch TV shows and movies online. From the time I found the link to start a movie or TV show, for the past 16 months (roughly), the movie or TV show started playing within less than 5 seconds of me clicking the link. Yet now, whenever I click on the link (to start the show or movie), 90% of the time, only the viewing box downloads (the viewing box that appears where the movie or TV show will play onscreen. . . unless I use the maximize screen option, to fill-up the entire monitor screen with the viewing box). So once the viewing box appears, it just remains black and it just seems like the download stalls. So now if I want to watch a movie or show online (it does not matter if it is in the morning or noon or night), it takes about 10 to 15 minutes of constantly re-clicking the movie/TV show link before the movie will play. I thought that maybe it might be too many people on the server during the evening/night (the time of day when I originally discovered this problem). . . thus is why I tried it at 6:00 AM in the morning and the early afternoon . . . yet I still have the same problem.
I have a Pentium Samsung laptop computer (which I got brand new as a Christmas gift in December 2011) with Windows 7 loaded on it . . . It came from Costco and it cost almost $800. Other than now having troubles trying to get online movies and TV shows to play on this computer, I have not had any other problems with this computer either related to doing other online activities or doing non-internet activities. It has 90% free disk space on it. Also, I have basic Time Warner Cable (for Internet only) . . . that I have been using to watch movies and TV shows online and surfing online (on this same computer since 2011 . . . but I never had troubles until now).
Any thoughts of what my troubles might be?
