New X-Men Cartoon

I agree iflookscouldkill, but "Reportedly" Storm, Cyclops, Angel, & Emma will be featured in the show as well; they just aren't pictured

Does anyone know when this will air? On the Cartoon Network maybe?

Wolverine is way too overrated.

No Storm = Bullcrap, she's the most interesting character.

you can have x-men without the weather goddess.

STORM mistress of the elements commands you to re write the series

I think you should add a "not" in between can and have up ther^.

Storm was the big reason why I started reading X-Men back when I was younger to begin with and it seems like there are a lot of people who share their like for the charecter. It just seems like wolverine is getting TIIIIRED. They really do need to stop. Here's hoping it's just in the title to lure Wolvie lovers and the people who are only familiar with the movies and make the show about all the team. Doubtfull, but a boy can dream.

I'm sorry maybe I'm missing something... what has Storm ever actually done? I've never read the comics. I've been reliant on other media. Has she actually done something incredibly interesting that I've failed to learn about? Because she's kind just like blah I'm female Scott... let's all be serious... as far as I've seen

Well, Ororo is basically the second in command if Scott ever goes down. Back when her powers were nullified, she challenged Scott for leadership of the X-Men and surprisingly won, despite the fact that he had his eye beams.

She's been a maternal figure to several of the younger X-Men (Kitty Pryde, and Illyana Rasputin included).

When Magneto took over the school, she helped him out, and since they were petitioned to join the Hellfire Club and wanted to keep an eye on its dealings, Storm and Magneto took the position of the White King together.

For a time, she was the leader of the Morlocks, having defeated Callisto.

Recently, after M-Day, she went through Africa, tracking the remaining mutants who still protected their individual villages from military dogs. Those who were depowered were often publically killed byt he military soldiers and the villages were raped and pillaged. Storm would show up and kick their asses, or provide assistance to the few remaining mutants who weren't depowered, giving them tracking devices so they could be located if they ever needed help.

Recently, she also married the Black Panther and became the Queen of Wakada.

I'd say that unfortunately, Storm has done far more and been a considerably greater leader than Cyclops ever really had. Poor Scott...

i always feel bad for cyclops.... his powers suck and they wouldn't even make him a good leader....

I hope you meant Cyclops from the movies, because comic book Cyclops is an incredible field leader & battle strategist; and despite not being able to control them, his powers are pretty devastating...

With Storm, it's a better question as to what she hasn't done. She's one of the people to question all Professor X, Magneto, Reed Richards, Cyclops, Wolverine, and The Beyonder. She has also gone toe-to-toe with Wolvie, Cyke, Callisto and a few of the other "master fighters" and defeated them, usually without her powers. She has been involved in practically anything that the X-Men have been involved in, and is basically the hottest of the X-Babes (she is only recently married, and isn't as dangerous as Rogue is).

As for Cyke: He's the guy most guys have some sympathy with, and has had a lot of angst to deal with. He's also got a wicked sense of humor.

In short, Storm is probably the X-Men's big sister, and Scott is it's big brother. Of course, that makes Wolvir the pervert uncle, but it could be worse...

Nightcrawler over-rated? Those are fighting words! If Storm is the conscience, the fuzzy elf is it's sense of humor. Even though he's a devout Catholic, he's the knight in dark-blue fur, the very definition of gallant.

Okay, Jean I can see; too much stuff happens around her, and a lot of people wish that she would have stayed dead...but Emma? The best reason for her popularity is that she is the comic-book version of Joan Crawford; she's beautiful, rich, and a bitch when she wants to be. Even when she isn't, she's not really not a nice person...

RG

Then you just haven't been reading comic books, Surge. Nightcrawler's done a lot for the team, Jean even more.

As for Emma, she's in almost everything in the X-World now. I love her because she's a hard-ass bitch and she knows what she stands for and she doesn't take crap from people who need to have a good ass-kicking. There isn't a person she hasn't stood up to because she wanted to 'play nice'. If they needed to be told something, she tells them. And currently, she's the best telepath on the planet.

I happen to like her better than Jean because she's not ominpotent, but holds her own anyway. It's easy to be laid back and kind when you could atomize anyone with a thought. Emma lived a tough life, she's not the most powerful person, but she holds her own, and she's smart.

She knows how to handle and design sophisticated technology, her TP skills are fantastic, her fightings skills are average, and she's culturally sophisticated. She's an all-around great character.

Ororo beat Scott because Madelyne was unconsciously manipulating him to lose (so he could elope with her free of his duties).

Don't forget that Cyke knows every X-Man well, and as such can beat pretty much anyone based on this knowledge (as he did in the Danger Room when his entire team got brainfucked by mastermind).

Plus, without his powers on Astonishing, his awesomeness rose through the charts. Mostly because he shot a teenage girl in the face with a handgun.

Daydreams: Dude, people being sick of Logan isn't a gay thing. It's because he's in like 500 fucking titles, all of which except "Astonishing" and occasionally "New" suck hard. It's because his Origins series reads and looks like shit, his solo series is a fucking joke, and his role in New Avengers is nothing more than fanservice.

Now, topic at hand, I'm still gonna watch it, though I think omitting the "And the X-Men" would be much better. Treat the cartoon as a solo so as not to have him make the rest of the X-Men look like wallpaper.

i guess so... but thats probably because i haven't really seen him lead much... especially nowaday that he is stuck running the mutant school..... and with the d-day and then civil war.... it really doesn't seem like he had much chance to show his stuff lately....

Read Astonishing.

Yeah, I think Joss is really trying to bring Scott back to where he should be with all these years and experiences.

Just Wolverine, Professor X (walking?), Beat, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Rogue? What kind of team is that? There's no energy projection, no psionics (Xavier really doesn't count), and all fighters? Hmmm...

Boooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrring.
