I loved reading the posts from Sausy and Chance about last nights game
You are both so right about Easley, man that was an awesome throw, how the heck did he do that, not an easy one for a lefty.
As for Weeks he deserved to be called out with that ridiculous slide,

I mean what the heck was that? I learned that in little league you gotta slide feet first in a play like that. Plus he ran the bases badly, that was a wide turn at first, I thought he was gonna hit the warning track. What an Idiot.
Then our boy David making another gold glove pay in the 10th taking that double away from Hart and throwing him out.
Well another nail bitter last night.
But let’s start with Niese, 30 pitches in the first inning was what I was worried about going in, but then he cut that in half for the second so I started to feel a little better, but then, Oh Boy! Look, the kid had to be nervous as hell I mean think about it, plus his whole family was there and loads of his friends, so not to much pressure.

He has a killer curve, I mean really killer, Early on he seemed to be capable of getting himself out of trouble and he also seems to be able to throw all of his pitches for strikes. So he’s got good stuff. Oh, and he needs to learn how to bunt.

I hope they give him another shot, we don’t wanna move Figueroa or Stokes out of the pen cause we need em there and Figueroa has been light out. So let’s leave things be for a while. I thought since the Mets waited so long to bring Niese up they prolly wanted him to stay in the line up so let’s hope so. Plus with the two days off over the next couple of weeks we don’t really need a 5th starter right away any way. Wagner may be back soon, he is going to be in Brooklyn with the Cyclones on Thursday which is the next to the last minor league game, so maybe he will pitch, I am going to try and make that game.
The Pen has been awesome, ok so we use a new guy for every batter but what ever works right? Feliciano has been lights out, as was everyone from Feliciano to Alaya, although I was biting my thumb nail to the bone in the 10th. I was not sure Jerry was gonna leave him in especially with Weeks came up to the plate. But I am glad he did. Weeks really blew that at bat, swinging at what was for sure a ball and then swinging at the next ball in the dirt. Niese seems to be struggling a bit with that groin injury.
So 7 more4 scoreless innings from our pen. Nice! Plus we are now 17 games over .500

I gotta tell you theses late inning wins the Mets are giving us are bad for this 28 year olds heart.
But man, talk about great baseball.
So today we need Perez to go deep into the game, the pen needs a deserved rest. Go Ollie!
