New York Mets 2009

The Mets lost a couple they could have won, but played pretty good baseball overall until the Braves series, so maybe getting out of town for a bit will help get their minds back to business. It will be a tough trip though, going to SF, LA and Boston, some tough pitching to face. WE are still in 1st place, so not too much to bitch about. Let's hope for a successful trip, and Let's Go METS!!

Yup Syam I too am a bit worried about all that power pitching during this road trip.
But we stated off with a win and a really great game as well.
John Maine struggled early, allowed two runs in the first, but as he often does came back to pitch six scoreless innings, and then with 108 pitches under his belt came back in the 7th to go a bit deeper which will be important while Putz is out. He did not make it thought the whole inning but did manage two outs in the seventh. Then Stokes came on to get the final out.
Parnell pitched for the first time in the 8th; he has been our 7th inning rock. He was a bit out of his game in that spot and got into a little trouble. But like D Wright said later, “Parnell had been lights out for us so a little hiccup does not mean much”, well said David.
Then it was K-Rod who slammed the door on the Giants for his 10th save of the season.

It was great to see the Mets do what we Mets fans love to see em do and that is score late and finish the job aggresivly. I also liked beating up on the Giants closer Brian Wilson and get him for 4 runs in the 9th that was sweet.

Sheffield continues to swing the bat better and that is great to see. While Delgado is out we need Gary to bring us some power. Of course my main man D Wright was on fire last night including 4 steals.
(Tying the club record) and an awesome clutch hot in the 9th to give the Mets the lead. David has been seeing the ball better and swinging like the stud that he is. David has made some minor but important changes in his swing at stance. You can see he has moved a little off the plate and is more closed now, he was too open in his stance for a while there. Sure is great to see David going out to the base pads instead of that trip he was making from the plate back to the dugout every at bat, wearing a trail in the dirt between home and the dugout.
David id now batting .331

The Meta stole 7 bases last night and that without Reye who is nursing a stiff calf, A stiff what?

Tonight will be a major test for us with Livan Hernandez taking on Tim Lincecum

Anthor major cone from behind win tonight.

Once again David Wright continues to get red hot with another clutch game-tying three-run double.

Livan Hernandez gave us a rocky 5 inning outing, pretty much what I expected. It just goes to point out once again what I have said before the 5th starting postion is far from filled.
Tim Lincecum as good as he is and he is good, can not dominate the Mets or David Wright in particular, Tim makes mistakes pitching to Wright and David took advantage of that even though he did manage to strike David out twice.
Again the Giants closer Brian Wilson was no match for the Mets and once again we owned him.
Of course K-Rod was perfect, once again challanging the Giants and beating em.

Tim Redding is expected to be back in the line up on Monday against the Dodgers. As I told you Neise did not do well and has been sent back. I am so anxious to see him pitch again after all those foot and shoulder problems. He pitched well in AAA Buffalo.

Carlos Delgado has an impingement in his right hip, a small bone spur in the hip and a partial tear of an unspecified area of the hip. What that amounts to is a lack of space between the neck of the hip socket and its rim; it causes them to jam together when the hip is flexed. That can lead to labrum damage, as well as degenerative arthritis. I fully expect Carlos to be on the DL before the weekend is up. I also will not be surprised if he ends up in surgery. The scariest part is the arthritis which could basically end his career.
What Carlos going on the DL will mean is Tatis will get more time at first but it could also give Murphy playing time there as well. Manuals likes the way Sheffield has been swinging the bat and will continue to take playing time away from Murph. So a chance at first would be good for Daniel. Hopefully all that will take up the loss of Delgado which is a big expectation, cause if that doe not work look for a trade to happen.
JJ Putz who as you know has a bone spur in his right elbow is waiting to see how the cortisone shot he received yesterday works out. Any surgery to shave down that spur would wait until the off season. That problem he is having certainly explains he drop in his velocity recently. JJ is expected to play in the Giants series.

Ok no it’s time for Joey to do a little venting.
What the fuck is up with that home plate umpire last night? I think his name is Eddings, and he is hands down pone of the worst in the game. When both managers get tossed from the same game you have to wonder if this guy has any idea of what the Hell he is doing. This jerk needs to find another occupation cause umpiring his not for him. This is a totally inept individual.
What a dufas!!

Ok Johan is up to you to keep this going, and oh by the way Mets batters do you think maybe you could give Johan a little run support for a change?

been to many games this year - 5 plus the opener in cinci - and i'm hot with a 5-1 record :-)

saw santana lose to the braves last monday night - when we played dumb dumb

right now we're up 3-1 looking for 3 str8 against the giants - but they have 2nd/3rd no outs after david made an error - 4th inning

johan is a beast - love him - so tough

carlos' hip is a prob - i hear that manuel says sheffield is the answer

i'm not digging manuel so much this year - took santana out early IMO vs. atlanta - then left feliciano in against a righty - the bloom is off the rose for me with him - he talks too damn much too

johan just struck out a guy so it's one out

reyes is 26 and i keep hearing "he's so young" - as in his mistakes are that of a youngster

not buying that

love him - speed, defense, excitement - but these baserunning mistakes are too common and u should've seen his laissez faire error vs. atlanta on a slow roller up the middle that would've gotten feliciano out of an inning

it's 3-3 now - santana grooved one in - boo

wright is striking out at an alarming rate - i hope this wc swing will cure him of his whatever

love santos/castro behind the plate
murphy is the real deal
need church to relax and hit
thinking castillo will not be able to keep this up
sheffield is doing a lot of good things

they're gone for a long time

have tix for sat game vs. marlins on the 30th

digging citifield more and more

the beer is sooooooooooo cold

ttyl guys

So finally the Mets offense gave Santana some run support. I guess he was so flabbergasted and confused by that concept that he pitched only a so so game. Prolly one of the worst I have ever seen him pitch, allowing six runs, and four earned, on 11 hits. His ERA has jumped to 1.36. Hardly a bad number but I sure am glad the bats were hot again today when Johan did not bring his A game. Unfortunately the poor defensive plays behind Santana continued, in fact may have gotten worse.
Santana has to be thinking, the offense improved but the defense got worse, so WTF?

After a couple of shaky outings it was great to see J.J. Putz lock own the save with a 1-2-3 ninth inning, K-Rod needed the day off and Putz got the job done.
This is what we expected and hoped for with that 1-2- punch of JJ and Frankie.

By the way in case you’re counting The Mets have won 11 of their last 13 games.

Can Big Pelf and the boys give us a 4 game sweep against the Giants?
Remember the Mets 9-1 West Coast trip in 2006. ..|

As you heard Carlos Delgado is now on the DL. He will see a hip specialist to help determine whether he needs surgery to repair a right hip impingement. Question: Should he have flown to SF?
Didn’t the Mets make the same mistake with Church?
I’m just sayin.

Angel Pagan, was activated from the DL and took Delgado's roster spot. Pagan is an outfielder and a good one, this move will allow Jerry Manuel to use Jeremy Reed at first base along with Fernando Tatis, as well as Daniel Murphy Of course as I said yesterday if things go worse of Delgado and this temporary fix does not work out well you can expect some sort of trade. I seriously doubt Delgado will be back anywhere near 15 days, I expect him to be out for at least a month possibly two.
Oliver Perez (member him?) threw three scoreless innings Saturday in an extended spring training game in Port St. Lucie, Fla., his first time facing hitters since he went on the disabled list with right knee tendinitis on May 7. Perez allowed no hits and had seven strikeouts and four walks. He threw 56 pitches. Brian Schneider, whose return from the DL has been slowed by a nagging calf injury caught in the game but didn't hit.

I mentioned the mess that Nick Evans has become and I am sure the Angel Pagon thing won’t make him feel any better since I am sure he would have wanted that spot very much. Now poor Nick has been sent to a sports psychologist. Like I wrote about the other day that demotion after the Sheffield acquisition really messed up his head. He never got over leaving the Mets and went into a tailspin both offensively and defensively.

Well just like me my broom is out of the closet for tonight’s game.
But win or lose tonight the Mets are off to a great road trip. :=D:

nice finish yesterday - and i love that johan pitched a stinker ......... and WON

he deserves it

david wright is on fire - and has lifted his BA significantly since leaving NYC

beltran continues to shine

oliver perez? who's he??

and i love that they're playing aggressive baseball - but smarter

is reyes being out a coincidence?

no delgado, no reyes - 3 wins

love it

i thought putz was gonna go on the DL and then i see him do a 9th inning save and give frankie some rest - read that he's struggling with set up vs. closer thing

will def watch tonite on espn

let's go mets

A lot of people asked me the same thing about Reyes, but I think knowing Manual he would have simply benched Reyes a day or two after those couple of lousy outings.
Although I hear what you are saying, it did seem a bit convent.

Cora filled in rather well although he missed a couple of plays that Jose prolly would have made.

As for putz, I speculated that he might be all of a sudden beginning to feel like he should be doing the closing rather than pitching the 8th spot. He said when he came aboard that even though he was a closer he was cool with handing the ball to Frankie,
but he might not want to admit it bothered him a little.
Clearly K-Rod is the better man for the job.
Lets hope the outing JJ had yesterday got it out of his system and he can pitch better
in the 8th than he has been.
There is that spur to deal with but it is interesting that it did not seem to bother him yesterday.

So last night was a bit hard to take.
Where to begin

Once again Jerry Manual pitch hit for Daniel Murphy with bases loaded, and if you did not see what happened your one of the lucky ones. Pagan hit into an inning-ending double play.Manuals excuse was that he did not think Murphy is swinging “quite as well right now”.
“Quite as well” as whom Jerry? Angel Pagan?? :grrr:
Also Jerry if you feel Daniel is not hitting well, could it be, oh I dono,
BECAUSE YOU KEEP CUTTING HIM FROM THE LINEUP ](*,)
Daniel has to get playing time, put him at first and lets see what he is made of, for Gods sake Jerry just do it!
I was so aggravated by what happened with what Manual did with Murphy and Pagan I shut the game off, gave out a FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! and went to bed.
This morning I woke up and listened to Jerry Manual's responce to the game. Then I called my dad to vent, he reminded me of the great series the boys had winning 3 0f 4. But the think is I was really wanting the Mets to win their first ever 4 game sweep.
Plus we had a great opportunity in the 9th and Manual (not Pagan in my mind) fucked it up.

Mike Pelfrey allowed just two runs and six hits in six innings pitched.
But Big Pelf also had three balks, and so he was pulled from the game having thrown just under 80 pitches those balks cost us big time cause the Giants scored both of their runs in the same inning as the first two balks. I was really feeling bad for Mike cause he was pitching well. He looked strong and I thought commanded the innings. The third baulk really did him in he looked bad after that, completely lost his concentration. I agreed with two of the baulks which clearly were mistakes on his part. On of those Baulks Pelf thought there was a time out but their wasn’t
I also thought Ken Takahashi and Sean Green both of whom threw scoreless innings in the seventh and eighth, both looked good.

Of course the baulks, the Murphy/Pagan fiasco, might have helped us win last night. The Giants had decent pitching andwould not have scored except for the men who were awarded bases in the baulks, but our offense went to sleep and that was a big part of it as well. I just hate to loose a game the way we lost that one.

So we are off to LA to beat the Dodgers,
2 outta 3? well why not. ;)

^ in my humble opinion .......

murphy might be the 2nd best pure hitter on the team

getting tired of mgr. manuel - real tired - i think bobby v is the man for this team thank you

3 balks? what the fuck? what is this little league?

seriously i really like pelphrey - he and maine - but 3 balks? all i can say is that will never happen again i imagine

3 out of 4 i will take

don't care for the dodgers

good hot dogs at the ballpark though

really good

let's go mets

Last night we witnessed one of the most difficult base running errors I have seen in a while.Ryan Church missed third base last night, while rounding the bag on his way to scoring what could have been the go-ahead run.
But ole eagle eye Joe Torre noticed that Ryan had stepped in front of the base and not on it.
Ryan insists he touched the bag, but he did not, come on Ryan fess up you know you fucked that up. I can forgive a lot of errors, including the ones Beltran and Reed both made last night although I credit that to Beltran error to Pagan who should have known it was Beltran’s ball. In fact Carlos called for it several times. Of course you expect errors to happen to the rookies. But for a veteran like Ryan It was hard to forgive, but I doubt anyone feels as badly as he does, I am sure the excitement and determination to score that run was just to overwelming. I just can't help feeling bad for the guy.
Once again Jerry manual did not even try to defend his player, Hell, he did not even argue the call, Jerry pretty much dished Daniel Murphy the other day when he defended his stupid decision to pinch hit Murphy with Pagan. Then last night he basically threw Church under a bus when he said “Uhh, a guy missed third base. That’s unbelievable. To me, it’s just hard to miss third base”
Well fuck you Jerry
Why he did not go out to argue the call of Church missing the bag:
I also heard that Manuel turned his back on Church when he entered the dugout after the play.Something is defiantly up between Jerry and some of his boys, Church in particular.I wonder if since Church is not hitting all that well and Pagan now in the lineup, we may see the end of Ryan real soon.

Tonight it’s John Maine facing Chad Billingsley.

Three straight losses...and three atrociously played games.Just when it looked as if the Mets had found their stride, the other shoe has dropped and I still wonder if this club has what it takes to just grab the bull by the horns and take the division,or even get the wild card.

Without Delgado's power, this offense has got to get diversified and find ways to consistently score runs.I wouldn't mind us getting a Nick Johnson high on base, good glove type....not prohibitively expensive in terms of money or what it would take in players to get him.I've heard Mark de Rosa's name mentioned, solid player, good club guy.

The past three games have been brutal to watch so forgive me sonny and everyone if I haven't chimed in as much as I like and usually would.Just too flabbergasted and pissed right now, especially when we were making such impressive progress.I truly hope the seeming rift between Jerry Manuel,Daniel Murphy and Ryan Church can be smoothed over quick b ecause the manager needs everyone to be confident they can succeed...if the manager publicly loses faith in them,he risks taking the whole team down in flames with the delicate psyche of this club.

I was reaching for the barf bag after reading about and watching the replays of Monday nite's fiasco. If these are the professionals what are the amateurs like? Another loss Tues nite doesn't sit well either. The extremes in the play of the Mets is crazy. Stop the roller coaster, and play some sound baseball! Venting, but not with a Coors Lite.....

I am not anywhere ready to jump on the panic wagon like a lot of media and friends of mine.
NO FUCKING WAY! [-X

Last week the Mets were the greatest, everyone cheering em on and singing their praises, but after just a couple of bad games, and make no mistake about it they were bad, everyone is all about how bad they are.
Well Bullshit I say.

John Maine as he often does, had a bad first inning last night, then after a nice rebound had a rough 6th inning. with that 3 run homer. Oh like that can’t happen. John has improved his game and I still have confidence in him.
I was impressed with Chad Billingsley, especially his killer slider.

Daniel Murphy continues to make base running mistakes, I mean what the fuck was he thinking in that pick off? The pitcher had not even made so much as a motion to the plate before Daniel took off. Then he misplayed another ball in the outfield. Oh Danny Danny Danny another run scores on your dime. I wanna see Murphy play first. Maybe Keith Hernandez can spend some time with him.

Jerry Manual continues to annoy me with his “gut feelings” another blunder Jerry, bringing Ken Takahashi in in to face the Juan Pierre, you know he’s a lefty right?
And what what’s up with putting Ramon Martinez in when we needed that tying run in eighth?
I have said this before but I don’t hear a lot of people agreeing with me. Jerry manual has been a big part of the Mets problems; he makes a lot of very bad decisons, VERY BAD.
I dono about his relationship with this players anymore but I think based on the things he has been saying and doing my guess is that it is sinking fast.

Carlos Delgado had successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn labrum and a bone spur, he is expected to be out about 10 weeks. But don’t take that to any bank and try and cash it, I have my doubts about his return as to when or even at all. If were a betting guy I would say Carlos is done for ‘09
So what do we do at first? Well we need his skills both at first and his bat, not an easy task replacing him. But I support trying a platoon there with Tatis, Reed and most of all Murphy. We have time it’s very early in the season, then if all that fails we should then and only then begin to think about a replacement.
If I had to choose now I would think maybe s Aubrey Huff or Nick Johnson, a couple of left-handed hitters who we should consider. There are plenty of others but those two would be available and come right to mind.

So to all who are having doubts about the Mets lemme say, get back on the program and support your team. It’s easy to hit em when there down, but the harder but the right thing to do is support and them and never give up on them. My God it’s still only May and so many people are down on them over the last few games and have forgotten the great days of a week ago.
I know what it is, it’s the collapse of ’07 and ’08, and you guys are connecting those days to ‘09.
All I can say to all my friends who are alleged Mets fans, if you can’t support the Mets when they are struggling to regroup. Have a little faith, don't be just basically what I would call a fair weather friend.
Bitch and moan all you want, that’s healthy and all well and good, but look for the positive as well and remember Ya Gotta Believe. ;)

*Joey steps off his soap box*

embarrassing to be a mets fan right now

amazing how the good vibe of great homestand - phillies wins

then 3 str8 vs. the giants - with santana finally getting support

has regressed to this

peter gammons said on 1050am espn radio this aft that having murphy in left and reed at first is crazy

murphy at 1b
reed in the OF

he's right

i think manuel is a shit show

fundamentals suck

and he's not pulling the right strings

Geez, Louise, the Mets bandwagon has a flat tire. Another O for 10 with runners in scoring position nite, Reyes out for who knows how long, and it's on to Boston. Let's hope this off day helps restore some order to things. Tough loss last nite, good pitching, no timely hitting. Even more painful to wake up to the bad news.

Yup Syam and Chance, things are grim in Mets land :(

But some bad things happened last night and also some good things.
We got swept by the Dodgers but Livan Hernandez pitched very well, allowing just one run and seven hits to 28 batters through seven innings.
But still the Dodgers were hitting the ball hard against him.
Putz continues to struggle, he was especially bad tonight
But at least our starters continue to be effective.
Offense was asleep again with only Wright and Beltran really getting it done now.
Jose Reyes left the game in the third inning, his right calf acting up again. Like you said syam, who knows for how long. I expect he will be put on the DL today. With Cora to follow right behind him. Last night Jose was replaced by Ramon Martinez, but that ain’t gonna cut it. We are in trouble at Short.
We left eight men on base so that crap continues.
The current Mets roster sure is in trouble I think we only scored 6 runs total in LA.

The new rumor is that the Mets are exploring a trade for Indians' utilityman Mark DeRosa. Well with injuries popping up all over the place I guess DeRosa could provide help at almost any position. I can tell you this, don’t believe Omar when he says he is comfortable that the current roster can get the job done. Omar can not be trusted to always say what he is thinking, I expect some sort of option to develop very soon

So Joey, other than Hernadez what else happened that was good
Well I am glad you asked. :D
I got my wish and Daniel Murphy played first, and lemme tell you he did really well. He looked comfortable made some excellent plays and may have found a home for a while till/if Delgado returns. Some of Murphy’s plays were darn right awesome, he was better than good he was outstanding. I thought he was far more effective than Tatis. So leave him there, let’s see how he does and use Tatis in the outfield.
By the way, Murphy did not have a first baseman’s glove so he used Delgado’s. Hope Carlos was watching Murphy make him proud
Unfortunately he was 0-4 at the plate, oh well.

I gotta, mention that play that D Wright made when he intercepted Pagan’s throw to the plate. David absolutely did the right thing there cause he made the out at third and there was no way Pagan gets Hudson.

On a sad note, the wife of Scott Schoeneweis was found dead at their Fountain Hills home on Wednesday.

Day off today and Santana pitches in Boston on Friday.
Let’s go Mets!

About the only thing that hasn't happened at a Mets game lately.......YET
Their is a commercial before the clip

http://www.metacafe.com/w/1630788/

The past three games have been brutal to watch so forgive me sonny and everyone if I haven't chimed in as much as I like and usually would.Just too flabbergasted and pissed right now, especially when we were making such impressive progress.

Oh babe you gotta know how much I miss you when you don't "chime in"
But it's ok to vent, God knows I do, as long as you keep the faith as I know you do. (*8*)

Nothing new on Jose Reyes, he is still day to day and has not yet been put ob the Dl. So far all we know is Jose had an MRI yesterday and it showed tendinitis behind his right calf.
Jose will be going to Boston today to be with the Mets, although I doubt we will see him bouncing around the dugout as is normally the case when he does not play. Be well Jose.

Brian Schneider caught five innings from Oliver Perez in an extended spring training game in St. Lucie but he is still a while away from coming back. The best part about that is that he is catching for Perez, which will help Ollie get back on track. They are very good together.

Very much looking for Santana to stop the bleeding tonight. I am trying to forget the fact that Johan does not pitch at Fenway all that well. In fact he is 1-4 with an ERA of about 6. With that in mind you know he is going to pull out all the stops for a win tonight. So please offense, back him up with some runs.

We also need for Murphy to come out of his slump and start hitting the ball again. I hope that now that he is out of the outfield and has shown some real talent at first base, all the negative thoughts he carries around with him will go away and he will start hitting again. I mean all those missed balls and the falling down in the outfield had to have done a number on his head. Perhaps now he can relax and start to return to his old self at the plate. One thing I am sure you guys have noticed is he has not been pulling the ball and his swing lately has been slow which is not like him at all. Daniel and Wright have been hitting it off, David likes the kid. Now, with Murphy at first Daniel and David will have a lot of plays together and hopefully now that David has gotten hot again he can work with Ho Jo on Daniel’s hitting. If Daniel Murphy can get hot at the plate again and continue to play first as well as he did on Wednesday…. Woof!

Positive thoughts guys and Lets Go Mets!

i'm up in ptown for the weekend

and the mets r in boston

was thinking about driving down and grabbing some tix - but likely to be a shit show sooooooooo

let's go mets

i can objectively trash them but it doesn't change the fact that i love them

was talking to a guy at my gym the other day - he has a mets gym bag so we started chatting - lamenting the terrible play

and we ended with "but u gotta love em"

that's what sports is

u love ur team

doesn't mean u can't kill them

loathe manuel - he blows - chatty kathy IMO - the team plays undisciplined under him and i don't like his pitching moves and he stuck with murphy in LF too damn long - and reyes doesnt seem to be responding to him ........

don't like manuel

he wings shit

thinks hes a standup comedian or something

santana tonite - fenway is gonna be buzzing

let's go mets

Well, a nice victory tonite in spite of the continued miscues in the field and on the bases. Some nice hitting early in the game and Johan pitched a very good game with solid bullpen work at the end. Omar has got to get rid of Martinez at short, somehow, someway. Ramon's been brutal, although a positive stroke for his RBI hit. Hopefully we can get at least one more win before leaving Beantown. Let's go METS!!

Hey chance, is thst your new pickup line at the gym?
Hey dude your a Mets fan?

I loved last nights game. Mostly for Johan Santana’s magnificent pitching.
Although he allowed three runs, two earned, over seven innings tonight and had runners on base in just about every inning, he still held the Red Sox hitless in 10 at-bats with runners in scoring position.
He was gritty, tough and down right mean looking out there last night. I don’t ever remember seeing him so intense. Between innings seeing him in the dugout I could almost swear I saw steam coming from his head. Johan was fuming over that jackass Yukilis who played the punk when Johan hit him with a pitch. My God, pitchers hit batters especially when they throw inside, did that punk actually believe that Johan Santana would actually hit him on purpose? What a loser Then that slow stride to first bitching and moaning at Johan the whole time, I mean WTF was up with that. You could almost read Johan’s lips as he told him to “go on, get to first”
Johan had to be irritated by the lousy defense as well especially R. Martinez who as syam wrote can not play shortstop. I mean he is just plain awful and must be replaced. If Jose finally goes on the DL (and he will) we need to bring someone up who can handle the job and most certainly can not leave Martinez there. No way in Hell! Send him back to Buffalo. Bad trimming for Cora who will be out for a while.
Santana went 7 gritty innings and threw 117 pitches. Maybe Manual was thinking of pulling Johan after 6 (he does stupid stuff like that) but I can just see it now, Jerry comes up to Johan and Johan said “get away from me man, I ain’t givin you the ball” At least that’s’ what I hoped happened. Of course the sweet spot came when Johan stroke out punk boy Yukilas in the 7th, for the third time so sweet.
I should also mention Parnell and K-Rod who finished the game off in style. Man I tell ya the more I see of Parnell the more I love him. He reached 10 MPH last night. I was also happy that with only a 2 run lead jerry did not play Putz in the 8th JJ said he had a stiff neck, well, lately it’s always something with JJ.

I often write about Daniel Murphy and today will be no exception. He continues to do well at first but still struggling at the plate that’s ok cause I know he will bust out again soon. He did get a decent sac bunt down so that was good to see he is working on his bunting. That’s the thing about that kid he is always working hard to improve. But he continues to fuck up with his base running that attempted steal of third? Danny oh Danny, I don’t think so. Dude you should know how to run the bases by now, Jezz man I learned that in little league. I know that was a cruel thing to say but I love Murph but sometimes I just wanna strangle em. I gotta throw this in and I have mentioned it before, so has saucy, Watching Daniel run to first last night I was reminded of what a sweet rockin ass that kids got. Sorry I just had to throw that in, I mean I just hadda.

Ryan Church left in the bottom of the fourth inning with a sore right hamstring.
He got some treatment from the trainer and prolly will sit tonight out and be back Sunday.

I sure hope Beltran’s little (we hope it’s little) knee pain last night was nothing to be concerned about. That’s all we fucking need.

I was just wondering if Jose goes on the DL and we can’t find a replacement for I would like to say how bout we bring Fernando Martinez up, with Murph at first Fernando could be a force for us in the outfield. The kid has been tearing it up and maybe it’s time.

So the fucking Yankees choose last night to end their 9 game winning streak by losing to the Phillies?? ](*,)
Come on dudes, you are supposed to trounce those guys for us.

Tonight it’s Big Pelf on the mound; I wonder how many baulks he will have or how many times he will fall down. Mike saw a sports psycholoist after his last outing so maybe he got rid of the Yips.
Mike said he has had that before and expects to be rid of that tonight. Yips?? Yikes!!

Let’s Go Mets!
