I think a flag should not have any black colour what so ever.
New Zealand has chosen the Bottom Left flag to compete with the current flag.
Do you think they choose the right flag??

They should have choose the Top Right flag.

The New Zealand "All Blacks" rugby team "brand" has influenced this choice.

The people of New Zealand will decide next year whether to keep the current flag, or opt for the flag that you do not like.

I am happy with what ever choice the Kiwis make.

Well,
I have "a say" which flag looks better ...
3 colour flag is better than 4 colour flag.

The best flags for me are:
1/ Japan
2/ Great Britain
3/ Canada
4/ USA (maybe)
5/ the rest are (not very good LOL)

What are your best flags ??

ya got flower many color a fish many color mlot a tings planet
_ans wot apees human mak?_

haaaaaa
tinku

At the moment,
all flags with black color looks horrible.
I wonder if their citizens chose those flags???

Fair enough, but they still use black for funerals.

The slippers that I am currently wearing are colour black.

My underwear is colour black. My socks are colour black.

I have no intention of dying tonight, nor attending a funeral tonight.

The colour white is also used for mourning in several Asian countries.

What's your opinion on the colour white used in the proposed flag for NZ.

Don't you want your National Flag look good?

Black looks nice for fashion, clothing ... etc but not for national symbol.
Because New Zealand geography is similar to the land of the rising sun. Maybe they should try the black circle and see how it looks?

I think Aus flag looks good because of the Union Jack at the corner.
But still i want to change to something more independent.

New Zealand has been independent of the UK, and sovereign for over one hundred years.

The change of flag...if it happens....will not change NZs relationship with the UK.

I am happy with what ever choice the people of NZ make.

Good night for I am ready to visit dream land....it's 2325 in Greece.

^ i know that.
But my question is, does black look good on a national symbol ?
And my answer is a big NO.

The Frisian flag:

Those red things are supposed to be water lilies but if you ask me they look like smacked bums. Perhaps they're into spanking in Friesland. I would prefer it if they were upright, with the cracks pointing vertically. Also they are unevenly spaced which is not very neat.

Not bad, i like it.

Black – represents Te Korekore, the realm of Potential Being. It represents the long darkness from whence the world emerged. It represents the heavens. The male element is formless, floating and passive.

New Zealand has been independent of the UK, and sovereign for over one hundred years.

Well some might debate that point with reference to the Constitution Act 1986.
