Nintendo Wii Owners

I'd love to see if I can spot your Mii's but I have 596 Mii's in my parade at the moment, so you can imagine how hard that would be to do, lol.

What Wii games do you guys have? Too bad there aren't any we can play online with each other yet.

I don't have a lot.

Zelda - of course.
Wii Sports - of course
Trauma Center Second Opinion
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (boyfriend got it for me :))
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2
Wii Play - Bought it for the controller a maybe 3 of it's games.

I want Sonic, Red Steel (but I'm waiting for it's price to drop) and oh I unno... maybe the Godfather when it comes out and Pokemon Battle "w/e" the hell it is.

Don't have a lot, lol? :)

I had Zelda but sold it when it frustrated the hell out of me. Go figure I wanna re buy it. I re buy everything. Waste a lot of money that way.

I am interested in how a fighting game feels on Wii though but I'll be damned if I try Dragon Ball Z crap. Trauma Center is fun though and I have Marvel on 360.

I want Sonic as well. I had a coupon to get it ten bucks off but forgot it expired.

Red Steel is on sale new $29.99/$24.99 used at EB Games and on sale for $29.99 at Best Buy. Again, I'm curious about it but I'm not all gung ho to go play crap.

I want the new Pokemon DS games when they come out but not the Wii one. I might get if a lot of people on my friends list get it so we can play together.

Evil: Damn I totally have Mii envy now. It makes me wonder if random Miis join the parade, not just your friends list people. As far as my Miis go, some are easy to spot. As of last night I've got Zoidberg, Xenomorph (Aliens), Predator, Albert Einstein, and Scorpius (from Farscape). All of those guys kind of stand out. :)

As for games, I have:
Wii Sports
Wii Play
Excite Truck
Trauma Center
Dragonball Z

I'd watch out for Red Steel, it got horrible reviews. Sonic didn't fare too well either. I'm going to probably get SSX Blur today, and maybe Wario Ware.

Admittedly last few nights I haven't been able to stop playing with the Mii Channel. it's kind of like Animal Crossing was, really silly and simple, but addicting. I'm hoping they make Animal Crossing for the Wii, and soon.

I'm not too into Zelda, so I skipped it. Dragonball is a royal pain in the ass playing with the Wiimote and nunchuck. My stepson and I played it a while, and I'm going to probably buy the classic controller to use with it instead.

The Wii Pokemon will be the first game to use Nintendo Wifi for online play, and it will also link to the DS Pokemons, and you can the DS as a controller.

That being said, I'm probably not going to play any Pokemon, because I've become Anti Pokemon. My husband and stepson play it obsessively, and I don't think I can handle one more hour long conversation about which one of them caught which fucking Pokemon and what they did to make it evolve. I also know that once the Wii version comes out, they'll going to try to take over my gaming den. I'm actually considering getting a second Wii to put in the living room, so they stay away from my hideaway! :D

There is not a damned Wii to be found in this God-forsaken town. :grrr:

I had really planned on 'taking the plunge' and buying an Xbox360, (and the bazillion $'s worth of stuff that goes with it) But now that I've seen the Wii 'in action' as it were, I really want one of them instead. (Plus, the fact that I can't get it makes me want it all the more, I suppose)

Imagine this motion technology applied to more 'adult' games....
Hmm....imagine the 'attachments'

Discuss. ;)

I have Wii Play which I think is awesome because it comes with an extra remote and the shotting and billiards is fun.

I have Wario: Smooth Moves which is actually pretty fun.

And I have Trauma Center. I haven't played it that much yet but it seems OK.

And I want Sonic but was coming on here to see if anyone else had it and hear what it's like.

So, has anyone played Sonic yet?

I love the Wii!
My Wii number is this: 6654 8560 1510 1555

My Wii games so far are Zelda, Wii Sports and Warioware.
Im a huge Warioware fan, i have all in the series so far. Smooth Moves is probably the funiest of them all.

Alright MetaKnight, I added you. Add me and we're good to go. My wii number is in the first post of this thread. :)

MUST HAVE MORE MIIS IN THE MII PARADE!!!!!!

just got your wii and now you want to test its limits out, don't you ;)

No, I'm just obsessed with Miis, simple as that. I've also found that I'm more obsessed with Miis in the parade than I am with Miis in my Plaza, since those wander over on their own.

I know, I have issues.

You get what you pay for ;) When paying 250 euro for the wii, consider you have no: HD graphics (even worth, the wii graphics are worst then the old xbox 1 graphics), no dvd support, no hd-dvd or bluray, no dolby digital sound, no harddrive, no video playback, no music playback, no content streaming, support for gamecube games require gamecube controller and memory card, overpriced accessories (wiimote für 40 bucks) and and and...

Well yeah, I would have played day after day too, to bad my father was also eager to try and try and try

You do get what you pay for, I will agree with that, however in my not so humble opinion the PS3 is a little different.

****Warning this is going to be a little long****
I'll preface by saying that I was a big PS2 fan for a long time, until Xbox Live came out. I also used to boycot all nintendo home consoles (I was bitter that Sega went under b/c Sega was always my favorite console maker).

Once Xbox Live came out, and the PS2 went online, I started to turn towards and prefer Xbox. Playing online with voice made the online gaming experience more fun, plus the unified network and ability to see what all my friends were doing and playing was great. PS2's online was a steaming pile of crap in comparison.

Then the PSP and the DS came out. At first I was all about the PSP, simply because It was sexier, and seeminly a better more advanced piece of hardware. I looked at the DS as a gimmick, and didn't think the touch screen thing would last. Boy was I wrong. As much as I loved the PSP, Sony fucked it all up barely making any games, let alone decent ones. I had gotten a DS for my step son, and a friend convinced me to get Animal Crossing, and BAM, I was hooked. THen I got trauma center, and it went from there. I have had way more fun with the DS. These days I only use my PSP for watching videos I download and convert.

Then the 360 came out, and I totally fell in love, after waiting 12 hours in the cold and rain overnight (I still think it was worth it). The user interface was amazing, there were several games in the queue that i was psyched about, and they had massively improved Xbox Live. I became even more of an Xbox Fanboy. At that point I still thought I wanted a PS3 at launch, because of the power the system has.

Then they announced the price, and I was a little daunted, and they announced the 2 models, that had differences, some of which could not be upgraded on the cheaper model. Thats when I started to look at Sony in a different light.

Flash forward to PS3 launch, and I had no desire to wait in line for a week for a system, nor to pay extra money for one. Only one games looked decent (Resistance), and it wasn't worth paying $600 for one game.

I was also still hesitant on the Wii, due to my unwarranted distaste for Nintendo home consoles. A friend invited me over to his house to play some Wii, and I had a great time playing Wii sports. Thats when I decided I was going to get a Wii, when I finally found one.

And thats the end of my long pointless story explaining my take on the current console situation. I'm not too sure how the PS3 will fare for a while, since you can find PS3 everywhere here, but Wiis are still hard to come by. My friends work at a game store where they have had the same PS3s in stock for over a month, yet they sell out of Wiis the same day they get a shipment.

I think Sony fucked up by making the PS3 so expensive, just to push blu-ray. I'll probably get one eventually, when a game I can't live without comes out, which will probably Final Fantasy 13, which i doubt will be out before 2008.

Actually the Wii can show off better graphics than the original xbox, but no developer has really taken advantage of the Wii's true power yet. Its still too early to say since most games right now are either ports from last gen, or games that were rushed for launch. We should expect better lookin games from now on.

And well the Wii does play videos and music, just not in the way you would expect... You can convert videos to a Wii compatible format, pass them to an SD Card, then load them on the Photo Channel. Thats what I do.

The rest that you said is true though. But then again, when you buy a nintendo console, arent u buyin a gaming console anyway? video playback or anythin like that shouldnt be the main reason to buy a gaming console, thats the mistake most psp buyers make. Not that im bashin the psp or anythin, but you know what I mean.

I agree with your first sentence. Nintendo is for games, period.
I bought my PSP as a portable gaming machine, it just turned out to a waste in that sense, but it's a great video player, especially for those that download torrents. You can use a free video converter (made by the same people that made Wii Video 9) and convert anything into psp video format. You choose the quality it converts at, so you can pretty much pick how big the file is going to be. The screen is a lot bigger than the Ipod Video, and it's widescreen. Only thing I wish is that the screen was a little brighter.

If it wasn't for the video playback from memory stick, I would never use my PSP.
