People don't raise children in isolation - unless they're those weird Quiverfull survivalists, and that's not relevant to the subject of LGBT parenting, I don't think. It's totally possible to have 'Uncles' and 'Aunts' and other family members to provide role models. And, the idea of having to have strictly gendered role models . . . I don't know, it strikes me as a way of passing down gendered indoctrination, and enforcing gender norms by holding up one standard of behavior and presentation depending on the sex of the child.

I wasn't advocating for strict gender roles (or even traditionally distinct gender roles).
