North Carolina and Indiana

The idea that blacks voting for Obama is racist is utter bullshit.

In any form of politics, people vote for their own, especially in a mold-breaking election. That African Americans are supporting one of their own at smashing down a racial barrier is hardly racism.

Racism is not just bigotry - it is the ability to exercise domination. There is no way that blacks have ever excercised racial domination in the US. Whether it be 3/5s of a person in the original Constitution through slavery through Jim Crow and legal discrimination - it was only 40 years ago that Martin Luther King was murdered, that black churches were being blown up, that civil rights workers were being murdered. The Voting Rights Act is not much more than 40 years old. Poll taxes and literacy taxes and Jim Crow haven't been rolled back but a generation. This is white domination barely restrained in our country's history.

And anyone who says that racism does not exist in this country is full of shit.

So how African Americans voting for one of their own is supposed to be a bad thing is just utter racism on its faced - it is an attempt to dominate by power against a minority.

The end of racism is for the dominant group, whites, to break the pattern of domination. That is being done far far more than any of us dared ever hope. We have a long way to go.

Bill Clinton is going around to all white communities saying "people like you" are keeping his wife in the race. That is a naked appeal to racism. The Clinton camp assumed they have black voters in their back pocket., damn were they wrong. The stunning thing is that instead of losing the African American vote by maybe 80-20, as blacks naturally supported one of their own, that the Clintons are losing by about 93-7. That is astounding. That should say something to everyone who tries to run racial politics in this country.

We aren't there yet but we are getting to a better place -

Obama has won in overwhelmingly white states such as Iowa, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and had those victories mocked by the Clintons and their supporters who claim Obama can't get white votes -

Bill Clinton complaining the race card was played on him and then denying he said it -

their time is over

Nice spin . . . BUT racism whether it's white against black or black against white or black for black or white for white should NOT be used as criteria for choosing the BEST candidate.

Clinton is only ahead by 4% now with 72% of the precincts reporting.

This race in Indiana is intense.

I never thought it would get this close...

if Obama loses Indiana it will be by less than 20,000 total votes

Hardly bigotry which is based on intolerance . . . how does that relate to women voting for Clinton?

So let me get this straight, Kneelin. I was willing to condemn Blacks and Whites voting based on race, but you aren't willing to condemn Women voting by Gender?

... how is it bigotry then for blacks voting for Obama?

I never said it was bigotry, you did; I said it was racism . . . using race as the determinant. You seem to equate racism with bigotry.

Its so close it can't be called... even yet.

Clinton is 35,800 votes ahead in Indiana.

There still may be 100,000 votes to go throughout that state; some of it particularly in college town Monroe County.

Obama is 162,800 votes ahead in North Carolina.

Winning the popular vote in the long run of the primaries may be unreachable now for Clinton after the margin of North Carolina, even with a boost from West Virginia and Kentucky. The states after that will be solidly for Obama, perhaps in double-digits.

You know Lancelva has been dying to get on these Forums and boast about Hillary's so-called comeback, but it never materialized.

Here she's won New York, California, Texas by the Popular Vote, Pennsylvania, Ohio ...

and she still can't capture the nomination.

Tim Russert said there may be 300,000 votes still out there, in counties favorable to Obama, just a minute ago.

Yeah, I saw him. I thought the estimate too high, but he could very well be right. He's bulls-eye on that many of the remaining counties are urban centers and college areas, all favorable to Obama.

Unless she loses Indiana this isn't a "big loss" for her. No one expected her to win NC.

It still doesn't make a case of her being more electable to Super Delegates.

She lost big time in North Carolina, and she is barely ahead in Indiana.

Bullshit

Just last Friday Hillary was proclaming NC was her game breaker because she would two today

Obama speaks from the heart...Clinton is always reading a prepared speech.

she has lost touch with reality

the only thing she can do is huirt the nominee

and beg for money which she is now - but she is broke and its over, its over

Lake County is holding the Hillary count ?
One of my work sites is Gary In. This is no surprise to me.

Lake Co. is one of the most corrupt, highest crime rated and blackest counties in IN.(I DONOT call Lake Co. blackest in a racial way,Just Facts.)

There will be big challenges coming outa Team Clinton for a recount there.

she could have salvaged her reputation by getting out tonight - now all she gets is derisive scorn for fighting a battle she cannot win which only hurts the party

and to think last Friday she thought she was going to win both states big

She is worth only our scorn at this point

With 85% of the vote now in,,& SHE is only ahead by 4%.......
I would not call this a BIG Win

Me thinks Limbaugh's Operation Cause added to to small 4% margin !

put on your sheets if you are going to do the KKK thing

the turnout in Lake is reported to be huge and the workers swamped

but you have to make racist comments about being "blackest"

you disgust me

I won't say that it's time for her to pack it in, but it is time for her to change her tone. (After her opening she seems to have done that a little.) There's nothing to be gained for her anymore by continuing to attack Obama. Her only way to win is for Obama to seriously implode. If that happens it will happen. She doesn't need to be the one trying to cause it.
