Nice pics of some of the boys and Sausy, nice summation of the past season. Looking forward ( I hope) to some interesting hot stove issues to discuss in the coming days. I'm not overwhelmed by most of the free agents available this winter, but let's see what develops.

I would have loved going after Hunter Pence had he decided to go free agent, but he re-upped long term with the Giants. Not an incredible player but a very good one. I like Jacoby Ellsbury but if Scott Boras is going to be ridiculous and demand anything over six years and 90-100 mil I'll pass. But it is apparent that the Mets would live with Ike at first should he beat out Lucas Duda and Josh Satin there( I'm so hoping he can make the most of it and show in spring training he's ready to be the Ike we all know he can be) and not have first base be an offseason priority to fill outside the organization. They're going to go outfield, shortstop, and a solid veteran arm to fill out the rotation in place of Matt Harvey's Tommy John surgery loss for 2014.

Glad to read that Matt Harvey already is doing things with good range of motion in his elbow, and hopefully his recovery will be quicker than expected... but we cannot expect to see Matt pitching even late next year. However it looks very encouraging already he will fairly quickly return to his promising form for spring training 2015.Saw his pic with his girlfriend at the Ranger game and a couple of others and he definitely looks in very good spirits.

Can't wait for sonny's Hot Stove thread, and I appreciate syam and sonny's contributions as always. Hopefully we can have a few more regular posters in the new season!

Hello I’m here in from Philly for some football and while we wait for sandy to make his moves the Mets continue to get married and have kids. I already told you about Recker getting married last week as did Josh Satin and now it was Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Zack Lutz who married their long time girl friends








Next up is DWright who will marry long time love Molly at the end of December at a location and time that is top secret

Dillon Gee and his wife welcomed their son Hudson into the world

Very nice pics sonny, and the very best to all the new Mets newlyweds capped by the Captain himself David Wright's wedding to long time girlfriend Moly Beers at that top secret location sometime next month (wonder if our sonny is gonna be among those attending)!

With the new thread just being started, it's time to put 2013 behind and look forward to a better, fun, exciting season in 2014 for our Mets!
