President Obama has been accused of being a Muslim, by you on very many occasions.

Ask yourself why you regularly ridicule President Obama here...then you may understand the humorous self deprecating jokes that President Obama employs to entertain his guests....who understand...and laugh...loudly.

Next Benvolio is showing his stupidity again. Obama was clearly joking about this. However what isn't a joke is that while Obama is not a Muslim he is terribly Islamophilic. He frequently creates untrue apologetics for Islam calling it a religion of peace, he even said that the future does not belong to people that slander the prophet of Islam. Which has caused many ex Muslims to not support him. Worst of all he even bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia who represents everything diametrically opposed to our country. I really wish that for once we would have a president who was correct on the threat of the Abrahamic religions.

No Islam is not Homophobic, many Muslims are, there is a difference. In fact I am a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad through Isabella of Castile, wife of Edmund of Langley and am gay and know two other guys that are. Yes I have proven my lineage through a royal lineage society (took a year and a half to do).

You assume Obama is not Muslim, but when Rev Wright first met him, he said Obama was "steeped in Islam" and wright did no know whether he was converted. For election purposes he claimed he was Christians, but does he ever go to church or say anything friendly to Christianity? More likely an atheist, but I think there is no chance he is Christian. The fact remains that he was in a muslim family when young and is now, as you say, Islamophilic. He is eagerly bringing in thousands of "refugees" from Syria, but only a tiny fraction are Christian despite the lower or non existent threat of terror from Christians, and very real threat from muslims. I think he is muslim and will so declare once he is out of office. Maybe he was joking about being young, socialist and muslim, but I think he was all three.

Funny, he only spent time with his step father whom was Muslim for a few years. Most of his time was spent with His Christian mother and grandparents. Funny how he and his family go to a Christian Church every Sunday. Funny how he shaves, eats pork, and drinks beer. all things forbidden in Islam but yet you call him a Muslim. He must be the World's worst Muslim.

The same reason many Christians are which has been a problem for me and homophobic aunts and uncles that are Christian in my family.

There are right wing Pastors and Reverends in the Christian faiths and condemn homosexuality and the same goes for Islam. However Christ and Muhammad never said anything about it. The Koran does mention the story of Lot and adultery but nothing specific to homosexuality.

Lot was actually about not being hospitable to neighbors not anal sex. Outside the Koran is The hadith which was written 200 years later which is not reliable for so serious a matter.

The Christian and most other opposition to homosexuality arises from the belief that homosexuals are attracted to women just as straight me are, but who for some mysterious reason choose to have sex with other men instead. It arrises from the belief that being gay is a choice by people who could choose to marry, have children etc.
The problem was not helped when, in the early days of the gay movement, gays suggested that being gay was an "alternate life style" and similar language, but which simply confirmed the belief that is a choice.
Most Americans now understand that it is not a choice, and they are accepting. Gays should do everything they can to educate those who do not understand. As for your aunts and uncles, if you do get into a conversation, emphasize that Jesus did not say a single word against homosexuality, but he did say let him who is without sin throw the first stone. And emphasize that you did not choose to be gay and could not choose the reverse--any more than a straight person could choose to like men instead. It may take awhile to sink in, but eventually they may come to understand that you did not choose.
