Interesting how this has fallen into a debate over who quoted who rather than the fact that Sen Obama in his desperate need to be at his gravely ill grandmother's bedside that he suspends his campaign. Well...that is after he added a stop in Indianapolis. Does make one wonder.

I'm not saying he is or is not trying to score political points but it's pretty funny you suggesting if Obama doesn't go on The View or Oprah that means he isn't trying to score political points!
 
I believe that what some have a problem with isn't him going to see his gravely ill grandmother. Or that he is suspending his campainging to do so. The problem is that if she is so ill, which I don't think anyone is contesting ( I could be wrong on that) but that he cancelled his appearances only to add another.
 
I feel badly for his grandmother, but this also worries me. Is it possible that this will injure his campaign?
 
This thread has devolved from a substantive discussion of the topic at hand to something more along the lines of a series of hoots and clicks, or just chickens clucking.

Whatever happened to backing your position up with facts? You guys seem to be more interested in who quoted who than in anything really substantive.

I can't believe this topic actually sparked a debate. Something as innocent as visiting a close dying relative. Sheesh. Some really sad people here.
