http://idealab.talkingpointsmemo.co...ographic-survey-results-will-surprise-you.php

Politically independent
Among other striking findings, Codero-Guzmán discovered that 70 percent of the survey’s 1,619 respondents identified as politically independent, far-and-away the vast majority, compared to 27.3% Democrats and 2.4% self-identified Republicans.

Age varies widely - 64.2% of respondents were younger than 34 years of age, but one in three respondents was over 35 and one in five was 45 or older.

Wealth varies widely
A full 15.4% of the sample reported earning annual household income between $50,000 and $74,999. Another 13% of the sample reported over $75,000 , and 2% said they made over $150,000 annually, putting them in the top 10 percent of all American earners, according to the Wall Street Journal’s calculator. That said, 47.5% of the sample said they earend less than $24,999 dollars a year and another quarter (24%) reported earning between $25,000 and $49,999 per year. A whopping 71.5% of the sample earns less than $50,000 per year.

Highly educated
92.1% of the sample reported “some college, a college degree, or a graduate degree.”

They have jobs

Citibank Protester Talks About Undercover Infiltration In Occupy Wall Street

http://www.observer.com/2011/10/cit...ndercover-infiltration-in-occupy-wall-street/

Yeah, no...

I'm calling bullshit on this one. It would be silly to think that there aren't undercover officers in this movement. But it's really pushing the envelope to accuse them of the crap this protestor from the article is accusing them of.

No one made those folks go inside that bank and say the things they said, or do the things they did. The article even says that the planned protest was publicized on the websites, so no it wasn't the cops planning this thing to turn around and arrest those protestors.

I'm not saying those folks don't have the right to protest. They do. But they need to do it in a legal fashion. Going on to the bank's private property and harassing the workers there was the wrong thing to do. :##:

Here's the video from inside the bank. Notice the view count from Youtube? Under 20k... And why is that? Because these kids going into the bank and making jackasses of themselves isn't nearly as entertaining as a lady getting forcefully pulled back into a bank to be arrested.

BTW, the lady that gets pulled back into the bank is Miss 120K.

Nobel Prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman celebrates the Occupy Wall Street movement's ability to refocus the country's and Washington's attention from deficits to jobs when economists like Krugman could not. "It turns out that no number of learned papers on how we're doing this wrong, no number of sober editorials on how we're doing this wrong was making a dent."

I hope the NYPD reigns in the white shirts. With the way they're treating people in these videos, someone is going to get mad and shoot one of them -- and if it's one beating a citizen or spraying citizens without cause, I won't have much sympathy. But the violence that will follow will not turn out well.
