Radical Changes I Would Request:
(radical...in that I don't think these things would really happen but I would love to at least see a push for them.)

1. Do not allow any public funding (from individuals, corporations, pacs, etc.) of political campaigns. This will help to minimize corruption and manipulation. Political campaigns will be publicly financed with minimal financing. This will force political candidates to work with tight budgets. And when they are in office, they can focus on getting things done rather than constantly looking for funding for campaigning. And financially, it puts everyone on an even playing field. This will also encourage people that are not multi-millionaires to run for office, resulting in a political system that looks more like this country.

2. Make ‘NEWS” mean something again. Any form of media that uses the word “NEWS” in their name or advertising must be run as a non-profit. No advertising is permitted. If it is owned by a for profit corporation, the corporation should finance it but the management of these must be run totally independent from the rest of the corporation. Organizations would be publicly penalized for being dishonest with their reporting. Proper retractions would be required at the very beginning of what ever form of media it is. Use of the public air waves, corporations/companies are required to provide at least 1 hour of “NEWS” daily during prime time.

Media that create “NEWS” type products that do not fit within the “NEWS” requirements are required to include the word “ENTERTAINMENT” in their title of their product. If a “NEWS” product is excessively penalized, then they will lose their ability to use the word “NEWS”. If it is a company that uses the public air waves, then the “NEWS” Management would need to be relieved of their duties and the American public will vote for the new management, with the corporation paying for the costs of the voting. This will put pressure on management of the corporation to be very careful not to abuse their position.

3. Do not allow politicians to work for a government affiliated company (such as a lobby group, a company that gets government contracts, a company that gets more than 5% of their revenue from the government, etc.) during office and after they leave office for a period of at least 20 years. This is done to discourage politicians from doing political favors for future jobs and benefits.
 
I noticed Newscorps didn't cover the "occupy wall street" much.
