I'm not sure how a local ordinance regarding sleeping in a public park amounts to tyranny. I imagine a lot of public parks have those kind of rules.
No one is restricting their right to assemble there if they want, just to live there.
And the ONLY reason they were asked to leave is because they expanded their camp previously that day to include the Greenway. Had they not set up tents and other camping paraphenalia in the greenway, they would have been allowed to stay. (and all you need to do is look at the comments by Boston's mayor to understand that)
