There are plenty of wealthy democrats who have made and are making millions on Wall Street.

Here are some high profile democrats who headed large companies on Wall Street.

Jon Corzine - recently of bankrupt MF Global (futures brokerage), formerly CEO & Chairman of Goldman Sachs, also former democrat US Senator and Governor from NJ - more money than anyone would know how to spend

Robert Ruben - BOD of the NYSE, Goldman Sachs, US Secretary of the Teasury (democrat). $17,000,000 compensation and $33,000,000 in stock options from Citygroup

There are more -- not a lot of difference between the republican and democrat crooks on Wall Street.

I've said before, they have a couple of good points and many more really stupid ones. Go and lobby where the politicians are and get corporate money out of politics. There should be the same kind of wall between politics and business as there is between politics and religion. Government should only be concerned with business as it relates to their obligation to protect us from fraud, nothing more.

Which is basically regulated capitalism. I agree. But how to get there. We won't see any kind of actual change unless the pols are more worried about us than they are about the people lining thier pockets.

I think it's too late for simple electoral remedies - we need a structural change in the way our political system works, and the only way to do that is to elect people who will pass it, and the only way to do that is to make it painfully clear that people are watching.

See how easy that was - we aren't disagreeing at all.

It's a typical day at the park in downtown Portland. Those people are always there.

The problem is that the videos don't lie. The guy is what he is. A violent, apparently drug addled moron. The stories about women being raped are resulting in arrests being made. There is no dispute that the conditions these protestors have created are disgusting. It's what happens when you and several hundred of your friends decide to set up camp in a park. There's no evading that reality.

Yes, I saw the polls. I saw every legislator in NJ who did exactly what was done in Ohio re-elected. So what?

Ultimately the OWS gang needs to get their shit together and soon. The general idea that they're mad at government being too cozy with corporate America is one most people would agree with. The message is being lost by the bad behavior and filth. Now if they intend to hang out and inconvenience people who are doing nothing more than trying to live their lives, their welcome will be short lived. Blocking streets without having permits to do so and obstructing the free passage of other citizens for fun, isn't going to go on for much longer. Nor is the violence they have visited on cities like Oakland going to be countenanced for very much longer.

Okay, from now on I'll remember that the white supremacists, the neo-Nazis, Timothy McVeigh, and Jared Lochner represent the right wing in America.
