O'Donnell: 'You're telling me that's in the First Amendment?'

You did better than Coons in recognizing the five freedoms in the First Amendment. Why do you suppose it is though, that Coons has not been pillaried by the press for being a dope in not recognizing this?

The press is consumed by the female republican candidates right now. Palin is the star of the class and a prime example.

that attention draw can be used well and craftily as palin does. You can say many things about her , but one thing she does well is turn the negative press she gets to an advantage for her cause.

O'Donnel doesn't have the same chops but gets the same attention. everyone in ODonnels coverage is a side player, even the guy that is going to beat her in the election.

That is also a big story. We all know that ODonnel is the wrong woman, and the other guy?

hes that guy that lied about his military history... whats his name? He is a nesesary evil that people are having to swallow unwillingly because the only other choice is a dead loser in everyway.

It's not surprising that a Marxist candidate for high office doesn't know the Constitution.

Wow.

You're that desperate. Nobody actually believes he's a Marxist. You don't even believe that. Saying you think you do shows that you're a paid operative. We all know that, too.

OK see.. yeah... she came armed with a pre-written question she memorized off the back of a Trivial Pursuit card, thinking she was clever.

But she's not.

Nor are you.

The Republicans aren't getting their money's worth with you.

Although... I'm starting to think that you're actually paid by the Democrats, trying to make Republicans look obnoxious and stupid. In which case, you're worth whatever they're paying you.:=D:

Quite honestly, I think most Americans wouldn't know that (I didn't realize it was only the first amendment he was asked about and yes.. there are only 5 freedoms in that. There's a lot more in the constitution).

It would be like expecting the average American to know the chemical composition of Chlorine gas. Not knowing about separation of Church and State... that's kinda like asking "ok, how do you know that water is wet?"

Probably because the issue is really that O'Donnell is a would-be-theocrat who is trying to be coy about her actual positions.

We all know it. Especially those who deny knowing it. This question and answer just nudged at it, so everyone got excited.

indeed, one of the state teaparty founders husband, Justice Thomas of the supreme court had this to say....

http://www.firstamendmentcenter.org/analysis.aspx?id=19108

The short version of Justice Thomas’ argument, first suggested in Zelman and then more fully developed in Newdow and Van Orden, is this: The establishment clause is a federalism provision, barring the establishment of a national church and preventing the federal government from otherwise interfering with state government decisions about whether, and how much, to support religious organizations.

The establishment clause, like the rest of the Bill of Rights, did not apply to the states at all. In fact, the clause forbade the federal government from interfering with existing state established churches.

Justice Thomas has been trying to make case history within the supreme court that justifies something like... the Alabama state church.... so if and when the theorcracies rise up, this will be their legal founding within the nation and Mr Thomas is the man trying to accomplish that goal at present.

The tea party is using its influence through justice thomas's wife to affect a national identity as important as freedom of religion and separation of church and state.

Radical and extreme

and happening right now

*tee-hee* You're so silly. And by silly I mean maniacally paranoid.

not s good answer

tell me that those aren't clarence thomas's words and actions on the bench. tell me that his wife isn't associated with the very theocratic teabagger movement.

tell me we didnt have a 100 post thread by laika on how this is a christian nation.

tell me anything real and substantive and I wont have to call you a hack one more time.

republicans wont state their beliefs and values right now because they know if this election is about a choice between thema nd the moderate democrats right now, they will lose.

so they run from the press, they unlawfully detain people who ask the wrong questions, they refuse to talk about it on message boards.

never have I seen a group of people so ashamed of their true beliefs.

You know why Jack, the double standard of the liberal media of course. ..|

ms. O'Donnell is expert on Masturbation and gays but does know thing about the constitution.

I love how the Koch brothers are the new boogeymen to all the left-wingers. And of course they're the same people who are completely silent about the radical billionaire far-left financier George Soros. Hyporcrisy, of course. They haven't learned to function without it.

Um... George Soros funds the progressive agenda even though it wouldn't benefit him personally... in fact, if he got his way, his taxes would go up. He does this because he sees where the Tea Party agenda is going (let's not forget where he grew up) and is just as scared as anyone with a history book should be.

The Koch Brothers only fund things if they personally stand to gain a few more hundred million dollars, and fuck everyone else.

So don't even start that line of retarded bullshit, honey. Not gonna fly.
