* * * * CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX * * * *
“Goodnight, slut!” Derek teased, punching Dominick on the thigh as he ran out of the room.
“Goodnight, dick!” Dominick answered, massaging the sting out of his leg.
Derek looked like a kid taunting a dog to chase after him. He ducked his head in the door a few times and inched closer and closer to Dominick’s bed. When he got within arms distance, he slugged him in the shoulder and ran again.
Dominick took the hint and jumped out of bed to exact his revenge. He chased Derek into his room and tackled him onto the bed. Derek squirmed for a few minutes under Dominick then took control of the situation.
He shoved Dominick stomach-down onto his bed and straddled his butt. Reaching under, he grasped onto both nipples and pinched. His hot breath was giving Dominick the chills with every exhale.
Dominick was surprised when his arm brushed against an ice-cold water bottle on the bed. He picked it up and pressed it against the crotch of Derek’s boxers. Derek yelped as he snatched the bottle out Dominick’s hand. Dominick could only wiggle loose enough to look over his shoulder momentarily.
Derek had the bulldog face on. Dominick bit his lip in anticipation of what was going to happen. Derek put one palm on the center of Dominick’s back and adjusted himself so he was now straddling Dominick’s thighs.
Derek pushed the bottle firmly against Dominick through the back of his sweats. Although there was no penetration, the way Derek moved the bottle in various directions sent waves of pleasure over Dominick’s whole body. He let out a surprised whimper-like moan.
The hand on Dominick’s back was firm and aggressive, but the hand that was guiding the bottle was just the right balance between aggressive and gentle. Dominick never had any interest in bedroom props until this moment. Not that a water bottle was typically considered a bedroom prop. He was about thirty seconds from needing to change his briefs when Derek stopped and quickly hopped off the bed.
“I gotta piss. Be right back.” Derek explained and ran to the bathroom.
After about five full minutes of silence, Dominick heard the shower start. Apparently Derek wasn’t planning on being right back after all. He climbed off Derek’s bed and returned to his room to sleep. If Derek had come back, there was a good chance Dominick would have made a fool of himself trying to get into his pants. So maybe this was a blessing in disguise. Either way, Dominick needed relief as soon as possible.
The next morning Dominick was pleasantly surprised by a message from Derek’s sister, Toni. She wanted to take Dominick to a few gay bars downtown with her ex. Dominick had wanted to go out dancing for a while, so it was the perfect chance to get that out of his system and maybe meet someone to get other things out of his system, too.
The day flew by since Derek didn’t have to work. They lounged around the house for a while, grabbed lunch, and watched a few movies. Dominick was shocked when he looked at his phone and saw that it was already past 9:00pm.
“Oops. Gotta get ready!” He exclaimed as he hopped off Derek’s bed.
“What? Where are you going?” Derek asked.
“Out!” Dominick answered with a smile.
“Where?”
“A club downtown! I’ve wanted to go out dancing for a while!” Dominick explained with excitement.
“Oh… With who?” Derek asked. Dominick wondered why it had turned into a game of twenty questions. He didn’t ever ask where Derek was going or with whom. Not to say he wasn’t curious, but he didn’t want to look clingy.
“Toni and Janet!”
“Oh… Okay then. I guess I’ll just watch this movie by myself.” Derek said. He used the same tone of voice that he used when they were jokingly insulting each other. Dominick couldn’t tell if he was really bothered by it or not, though.
He shrugged it off and gathered his outfit for the night. There was a purple polo he wore every once in a while that always got him compliments about his blue eyes. It would definitely be put to use tonight.
It was freezing out that night, but Dominick didn’t wear a coat. He hated having to carry it around while inside the bars. As soon as they stepped out of the car it was a culture shock for Dominick. PJ’s was the only gay bar they had been to and it was rare to see serious public displays of affection among the men. They’d dance together of course, but it was rare to see them walk into the establishment holding hands or kissing.
There were so many more masculine men in this bar, too. They looked like grown men instead of the twink-type boys at PJ’s. Dominick was in heaven and Toni could tell just from his facial expressions.
“Don’t have anything like this back home, huh?” She laughed.
“Uh…” he stuttered trying to regain his focus on the conversation, “Nope. Definitely nothing like this back home. Wow!”
“See anything you like?” Janet asked with a sly tone of voice.
“Or would it be easier to ask how many of them you DON’T like??” Toni laughed again.
There were some very attractive men in the room, but none of them had that extra something that infatuated him the way Der… Dominick cut his thoughts off. He needed to get away from Derek tonight and focus his attention on someone that would return the attention equally.
He scanned the room again. They were playing pop and hip-hop music and there was plenty of space. A few random guys were dancing off in the corners, but nobody seemed to be committed to the idea of dancing as a group. Dominick was hoping the next bar would be more dance-focused.
“What’ll it be?” the bartender interrupted his scan of the room. It was a pleasant interruption, though.
“We have a virgin here, my friend.” Toni said, pointing to Dominick. His face turned red instantly.
“I’m not a… What the hell?” Dominick stammered.
“I mean a virgin to this bar! We all know you’re not a virgin any other way!” She laughed again nudging him. How the hell did he earn this reputation?! Toni didn’t even know him that well. Was there a “Hoe” stamp on his forehead??
“Well this one’s on me, then!” the bartender smiled.
Dominick shifted his focus back to the bartender. He was standing shirtless with a towel around his waist. All the bartenders were wearing only towels and tennis shoes, which were a major turn-on for Dominick. He loved men in towels.
The bartender had a beautifully tanned Latino complexion. His hair was buzzed short and his hazel eyes were noticeable even in the dim light. There was a dragon tattoo on his arm and his left nipple was pierced. He was tall and built like a football player. Needless to say, Dominick was staring.
“What can I get you, virgin?” the bartender winked.
“Surprise me!” Dominick smiled.
The bartender walked away for a few seconds and returned with a red-ish colored drink.
“What is it?” Dominick asked before putting his lips to the drink.
“Try it first and then I’ll tell you!” The bartender smiled back.
Dominick took a sip. He could taste a blend of cranberry, pineapple, and coconut. It was actually one of the most delicious drinks he had tasted even though it was pretty strong.
“I like it! What’s it called?” He asked again.
“Bend Me Over!” the bartender smiled devilishly.
“Bend Me Over??” Dominick asked in surprise.
“Okay, I get off at three!” The bartender winked. Dominick cocked his head for a second and then laughed when he finally understood. This naturally made the bartender laugh as well.
“What’s your name?” He asked.
“Dominick!”
“I’m Logan.” He reached across the bar to shake hands. He had large hands and firm grip.
Toni and Janet interrupted the moment with their cheering and whistling. Dominick blushed again and Logan laughed. The girls ordered their drinks and made their way to a corner of the room.
“I wish people were dancing in here!” Dominick grunted as he eyed Logan.
“You just want to show off!” Janet said, nudging him.
“Exactly!” Dominick laughed.
Janet and Toni took the lead. Janet took Dominick by the arm and dragged him to the middle of the room in perfect view of Logan. Dominick had to admire their clever ways.
“Well start dancin’!” Janet commanded and she danced behind him. Toni was in front of them dancing and keeping an eye on Logan.
Dominick followed his orders and began dancing to the beat. The location was perfect. It was near Logan and even closer to a speaker. The bass felt amazing.
“Damn, white boy! I wasn’t expecting that!!” Toni almost squealed.
“Is he watching??” Dominick asked, keeping his rhythm.
“He is now!” Toni nodded.
After a few songs, Dominick needed a refill. As he approached the bar, Logan crossed in front of another bartender to take his order.
“What can I do for you, Dominick?” He smiled. Damn, he was cute.
“Bend Me Over, please!” Dominick couldn’t help but smile like a flirty school girl when he said it.
“I already told ya… You’re going to have to wait until three!” Logan winked again. Dominick laughed again. It was cheesy, but he loved it.
“That joke never gets old, huh?”
“Who said I was joking?” Logan looked him in the eye and didn’t laugh. It was intense, but awkward. Dominick looked away out of habit.
“Ouch!” Logan said, grabbing his chest as if he was having a heart attack.
“I think I’m getting the blow off!” Logan explained.
“No, you’re not. I’m assuming you can’t get blown off until after three either, huh?” Dominick smiled and turned to walk away.
When he got back to Janet and Toni, his phone buzzed.
Derek: How’s your night going?
Dominick: Great! Yours?
Derek: It’s okay. Just watching TV. Miss you.
Dominick: Haha. I’ve only been gone for a few hours!
Derek: I know.
“You better not be texting who I think you’re texting right now!” Toni pointed her finger at the phone.
“Who??” Dominick asked, unaware that there were texting rules.
“Derek! Duh!”
“But what’s wrong with texting Derek??” Dominick asked in confusion.
“Tonight’s about you! Leave his ass at home!” Toni ordered.
“Oye. Fine!” Dominick agreed and put his phone away.
“We gotta get going, though. I still have to drop you and Janet off before I can get my tired ass in bed!” Toni explained.
“Um. Okay. I think I was supposed to meet Logan afterward.” He said.
“Boy, don’t wait around for his ass to get off work! Leave your number and have him call you when you’re both available.” Janet chimed in.
“That’s so awkward! I don’t want to ask him for his number!” Dominick resisted. He wasn’t the type to pursue things. He just let people come to him if they were interested.
“Do it!!!” they both pressured him.
Dominick stomped back to the bar.
“Hey Logan. My ride is leaving, so I’m gonna have to ask for a rain check if you don’t mind.”
“That’s okay. Why don’t you take down my number and text me so I can get a hold of you later this week?” Logan offered. Dominick was shocked, but thrilled that he didn’t have to be the one to suggest it.
Dominick finally made it back to his bed exhausted. It was the first night in a long time that he wasn’t thinking about Derek while he fell asleep.
