Offended By Confederate Flag

The confederate flag is a symbol of hate. It is just as hateful as the swastika. Yet if someone had a swastika the country would be in a uproar.People who say its part of "Southern Pride" are ignorant and don't know what it means.
Klan members would hang and burn black people and wave the confederate flag. They would bomb churches and wave confederate flag.

The problem with racism today is there is no compassion for another person's situation . People say " It happened 100 years ago. Get over it." We in America ignore the issue of race and just sweep under the rug only for it to explode again in the future.


Black people fought in the confederacy because they were promised their freedom or thought fighting for their country would improve their social status. From the War of Independence to World War II black people had this idea but they were disappointed each time they went back home where they were spatted on, called niggers, and lynched. That is why some never returned.

It is also funny how The United States payed reparations to Jews in the Holocaust and the United States had nothing to do with the Holocaust, but after 300 years of an institution that killed way more people then in the Holocaust The United States did not pay reparations to those in Slavery.

Actually, the Confederate Flag isn't as offensive as you would think. After looking at several polls online, it would appear that roughly more than 2/3 of those polled would disagree with you....

I disagree - the Confederate Flag is probably more offensive than I think it is.

I'm not sure you're "polls online" have any authority - what proportion of the world's population do these people claim to represent?

I agree find everyone in the United States that was a slave and pay them reparations. They are going to be what somewhere around 160 years old but by all means pay them.
