No, they don't worry about spoilers. If it's the awards, the audience is expected to have seen it.

Yeah, racism has never been ok at the Oscars which is why all the legendary black actors of yeseteryear have Oscars, and for a plethora of roles not just demeaning ones like soft-spoken maid, sassy cook, bluesy wise housekeeper, slave....
