As has been pointed out though, why would we want all the problems of a country born of war, founded on slavery and unable to live peacably even amongst themselves in the first few centuries of existence? Why would we want a political system that has been gerrymandered into paralysis and is now bought and sold by every corporation on Wall Street and by Halliburton?

Canada is more egalitarian and more respectful of multi-culturalism. More Canadians travel and speak several languages than Americans.

Oh. And homos are assured equal rights.

So who wouldn't want a Queen if it means being more like Europe and less like Los Angeles?
