Perhaps I was indelicate... most of them that have been close enough to my nostrils..... I wouldn't seek to marginalize any entire groups of people but I can relay my anecdotal experience.

Circumcision is done to desensitize the penis and prevent masturbation. That's all it is, but somehow, this barbaric practice still exists today. Hey, I'm sure everyone would object if all females were forced to have clitoridectomies at birth, so why is this still socially acceptable in western countries?!

For those who think it's done for cleanliness... why not just extract our brains and install it in a stainless steel box?! It makes as much sence.

Underarms can get smelly on some people - a problem that goes away if we amputate their arms at birth.

As we all known, it's not rare that an US city got it's name from a different city. There are towns named Montreal in Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri and Wisconsin .. I assumed that the article is talking about an US city since an US court granted him his reconstruction surgery.

Anyway, the location is not that important to the story ...
