Re: Circumcision of boys is a crime

You're unaware of antisemitism in the world? And a growing or renewed attitude about it? Where do you live?

Here is a good primer on the subject: Denis MacShane - The New Anti-Semitism

And I don't think that its tangential to mention freedom of religion. If one wishes to argue "human rights" as this Cologne court edict puts forth, then an argument about religious freedom and a separation of what is church & state is perfectly legitimate.

And I know what this court decision is. If you read earlier posts, you'll see that we all know its coming from a Cologne court and must pass higher courts of the land in order for it to be German law.

But why have this measure at all? As of 2006, only 3500 Jews live in Cologne, Germany. Figuring half of that population is female, we're talking some Cologne court edict designed to affect all of approx. 1750 people?

Is nothing more going on Cologne that ought to be occupying the courts time?

That alone would suggest something about some line of antisemitism. Why attack the religious practice (which ought to be freely chosen) of what adds up to only approx. 1750 people in the area?

That is an awful narrow targeting of a highly specific population and practice in my opinion. And it isn't as if that small demographic called for or was involved in the drafting of this edict.

And people forget that IF a Jewish family chose not to have their sons circumcised before the age of 18, they could. I mean, it is always a freedom of choice option for them always. But they apparently want to practice their religious beliefs.

So actually, Jews in Cologne had MORE freedoms of choice prior to this edict than they do with it.

And while some would argue the "human rights" of it all, if their Jewish sons grow up to be "good" practicing Jewish men one day, they'll thank their parents for following religious practice & custom. They won't hate their parents (or their penises).

LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors say a Los Angeles mother helped her 14-year-old daughter smear human feces and scrawl swastikas and slurs in maple syrup at the houses of classmates.

A city attorney’s statement Monday says 43-year-old Catharine Whelpley has been charged with nine misdemeanors including vandalism, trespassing and contributing to the delinquency of minors.

Prosecutors say on April 3, Whelpley drove her daughter and friends to vandalize the house of a former friend from middle school with syrup, feces and toilet paper.

They say Whelpley then drove to another girl’s house, where they did the same thing, but Whelpley’s daughter also drew a swastika on the front door and wrote ‘Jew’ on a concrete path. Neighbors’ surveillance video led police to Whelpley.

Anti-semitic attacks are always disturbing, but you should have noted that at the time Dennis Macshane was a member of a pro-Israeli media advocacy group, which is fairly obvious in the article too, seeing as he talked about "left wing hate seekers", and claimed that the media here is biased, what by being impartial on the case of Israel? A number of those attacks would have been committed by Muslims over here, why? Because they're aware of the gross human rights abuses committed by the state of Israel, and then wrongly project that onto all Jewish people. Not surprising that you'll be pissed off with that state, looking at the fact that there has been an illegal occupation for forty five years.

BBC News - Israel 'breaching UN convention on children's rights'

That was Occupation 101 you should check it out sometime. Instead of just thinking of attacks of that nature being due to some sort of irrational hatred you could start looking at it as angry young men projecting their anger at the continuation of horrendous human rights abuses in a state that allows you citizenship purely on your religious beliefs, i.e. Israel, one that displaces millions of people. Yes they're projecting it wrongly and the attacks are evil, but try looking for the causes of the hatred, rather than focussing purely on the results.

AGAIN I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CIRCUMCISION OR RELIGIOUS FREEDOMS ANGLE, and somehow I don't think that was the only case the Cologne court was concerning themselves with, as they're going to be dealing with cases on a case by case basis.

Why the Cologne court did it in the first place? Well they probably don't view children as being owned by their parents, just a hunch.

As for the attack in LA, just a case of fringe neo-nazi kooks, nothing particularly unusual about that there will always be bigoted nutcases, it hardly sounds like Kristallnacht.

The way a cut one looks? An uncut one looks like some gross thing that slithered out from under a rotting carcass in a dark forest somewhere.

Kulindahr, if you come across a guy whose crotch reminds you of a rotting carcass in a dark forest, I don't think you should worry about what his penis reminds you of.

Re: Circumcision of boys is a crime

I don't think that religious circumcision is synonymous with parents thinking that they "own" their children.

Again, one runs the risk as parent that one's adult sons will resent the fact that they were not circumcised and 'protected" by their parents according to religious law.

For every Jewish guy at 18 who may love his uncut cock and the Cologne courts for making it possible, there will be other Jewish guys who, upon reaching their majority, who very well may resent the courts for barring their parents the religious freedom to have had them circumcised as babies. Those Jewish young men will now face circumcision as an adult - a very different physical and psychological process than having it done at 8 days of age.

And they may resent that for their entire youth - according to their God - that they were running the risk of having been cut off from his people; (for) he has broken my covenant.
Genesis 17

Of course, all of this is contingent on anyone having religious beliefs at all.

And I tend to think that the Cologne courts don't.

But many people - citizens - do.

And so you have butting heads, once again, secularism and religion. It is not solely a matter of "human rights" or medical theories which fuels this sort of a court ruling.

And somewhere in that all is the essence or a strain of, in this case, antisemitism. In order to agree with the secular court, one must choose to ignore one's religious beliefs and practices. And circumcision is not a belief or practice within Christianity, Humanism and/or atheism.

Oddly enough.

About the video, Europe caused the Israel/Palestine conflict. Now no one know what to do and un-able to do anything about it. :##:

Do you mean that perhaps the cut and the uncut have skewed views of one another's' penises?

One wonders how we all ever manage to come together (you know, as to have sex).

But I do agree that these circumcision threads often get to a level that would make us think that penises come from different planets.

Speaking of which...it looks as if some uncircumcised guy unzipped his pants in the kitchen pantry here!

Re: Circumcision of boys is a crime

Being cut or uncut does appear to affect how one views what a penis "should" look like. It baffles me that people who are cut can argue that an uncut penis is ugly and unattractive when this is naturally what a penis looks like. I have no preference either way. A penis is a penis. I don't fall in love with penises, I fall in love with people.

Re: Circumcision of boys is a crime

For anyone circumcised at birth and missing that couple of square inches of skin; rest assured they're flame proof, bullet proof, as dextrous as an elephant's trunk and can create orgasms so intense your dick head may explode.

Europe, as an entire continent?????? No, Israel was originally created in a partition (set up during the british mandate of palestine) and had set boundaries in 1948, where a palestinian state existed too. Israel overran the occuppied territories in 1967 (i.e. the west bank and gaza strip). The main reason why nothing has been moving is the US keeps vetoing every resolution condemning it as an illegal occupation, even to this day.

Re: Circumcision of boys is a crime

Jimmay, no, Sweden is different. I think I can convince you. Let's play a little game, shall we?

Let's delve into the minds of three good men. I call them "good men" because they are good to their mothers, to animals, and try to do the right thing. OK?

1. Karl, from Germany: "Here, in the land of Goethe and Beethoven, little boys' penises are being chopped using a knife. It's high time we end this barbarism. This court ruling is the first step."

2. Isaac, a Jewish man living in East Berlin: "I shouldn't have come here. They did it to us once. They hate us. It's in their blood. Now they are trying to circumcision. I am not a Jew unless I'm circumcised. This is the first step. Here we go again.".

3. Mohammed, a Palestinian living in Munich: "Why, oh, why won't Westerners just leave us alone? All we want to do is live and worship in peace. Don't they understand? I have to circumcise my son. The Koran says so. If I don't, I go to Hell. I'm so sick of this. If it's not the UK, it's Russia, or France and now Germany. I've had enough. I've got to get involved."

So you see three men, who see the same thing (the ruling in the German courts) three completely different ways.

Where will it all lead? Possibly some social unrest. Very probably, to underground circumcision clinics. Possibly some emigration. And maybe, just maybe, a risk of terrorism.

I hope not. Germany is an exquisitely beautiful country, filled with people who work hard, who actually pay their taxes and don't bitch, and have one of the healthiest economies on the Earth. Some might even consider it a paradise.

Sweden is not an issue because it doesn't share the same past. Muslims might get upset but certainly not Jewish people.

We'll have to wait and see....

Yes Sweden does not have the actual holocaust in its history, but anti-Semitism was rife within the West and not just Germany, so it could easily have happened somewhere else too.

FOR THE FINAL TIME, IT IS A NON-BINDING DECISION.

Sounds like you fall in love with abstractions -- unless you're falling in love with women, penises are part of the package.
Or would you actually be happy with a guy who had to wear a blindfold to give you head, lest he throw up on you?

Lying images lie.

That's "dry and roughed up" vs. "wet with lube".
