Pretty much the same here, except the parents must also deal with a CPS investigation, which may result in the loss of custody depending on what else was going on in the home. But overall, the same effect as in The States....

That is itself a nice advance, period. Not sure what you mean by "parents getting slammed;" they aren't part of the picture at that point.

Slammed=having to deal with potential prosecution. Here in The States, it's a felony in most jurisdictions to endanger the life of a child. However, it can be bargained down to a misdemeanor. If the kid actually dies, and the parents' actions are determined to have caused the death, then manslaughter charges would be leveled. Just because they aren't in the picture doesn't mean they didn't help draw it...

Can anyone please point me to some valid accademic research outlining the physical and/or psychological harm done to circumsized males? It seems this conversation is still going in circles without any valid scientific research quoted.

a non-political circumcision question

Are there any accurate statistics regarding age, ethnicity, country of origin and circumcision? Ive recently taken to finding things like this out for a paper i am writing and i have been unsuccessful in finding anything that either makes sense or matches any other stats... anyone up to helping?

NOTE: I don't give a flying fuck what you think about circumcision. This thread is not for that.

There is a list of estimated circumcision prevalence published by the CIA this list can be googled and has info on most countries, it doesn't. Have an age breakdown but has a percentage of population circumcised.

thought the difficulty of getting real numbers- real statistics on some subjects . On sexual subjects I propose it is almost impossible . Nevertheless North America it is usually a medical-surgical procedure performed on newborns in a hospital setting so there must be some recording of this for individual hospitals and states though I don't see ( total cost of one medical procedure ) that any numbers would be accumulated nationally-federally - the expense is I presume born by individual states . Instance I might give of no numbers or bad numbers would be province of British Columbia , where allegedly the largest export industry is pot-marijuana and invisible , bigger than logging or fishing . And I would suggest that the internet economic backbone is distribution of porn .

Im running into the problem where anything i read will pretty much say that boys do get circumcised... ughh! people need to be keeping and publishing numbers on everything so poor college students can write papers easier, hahaha

Are you being serious right now? Go look at the sources that Wikipedia cites. No one is inept enough to tell you to actually cite Wikipedia.

If you want "real" academic articles, you should try searching "real" academic journal databases. Took me about 5 seconds to find something on JSTOR. A dozen articles popped up. Have you even tried PubMed? Google Scholar?

Ugh.

Quit the attitude and stop being lazy.
