I just get a big stick....knock a hole in the little kids bags....

then walk behind them picking up the candy..

LOL

I usually go to the bar on Halloween since it's a gay high holy day. The only day of the year when someone in "drag" is socially accepted, even by the rightwingnuts. Funny how on that one day it's called a "costume" and the rest of the year it's called "perverted". Go figure.

ANYWAY...the kids don't go trick or treating anymore. At least not here. It was deemed "too dangerous" by the local neocons who whined that it exposes kids to molesters and tainted candy. The fear card. Now they all go to the Malls (that's safe??) and the merchants give out candy.

I'll be at the bar "tricking" and "treating"! :gogirl:

I can't wait for it. FREE candy. Hells yes I'm going.

<<<<<<<<<<< Never have, never will. So, nope.

Okay, i admit it. I take my little great neice and great nephew trick or treating and yes i take some of there candy out of there bags, there are you happy.

Well, I take my daughter trick-or-treating and I usually eat a couple pieces of her candy, but only after asking.

OK, you got me.

My boyfriend is a pagan so celebrates Halloween (Samhain) in a big way - he won't let his sons go trick or treating though. Strangely enough no-one ever calls at his flat trick or treating - maybe they think that if they do it to a gay witch then they may get turned into a toad or something

I let mine go though if they want to. My eldest son thinks he is a bit old for it now so I often end up taking my younger son trick or treating - won't let him go on his own cos its just not safe any more

i have to wait a few more years and then i'll take my niche trick or treating

but for now i'll get drunk

:D

I would if I could, believe me...

Some great memories, there. I'm glad I got to be a kid when I did, I'd
hate to think of trick or treating at a mall... *sheesh*

A lot of it IS 'the fear card'. I'm sure there aren't any more or less 'sex offenders' or 'tainted candy' (which is bullshit, folks...there has not been ONE report from any hospital of any kid getting poisoned by candy of getting a razor blade in an apple... It's all just media BS to keep us afraid)

whoops....where was I ?

Oh yeah... Things are more or less the same as they were 20 years ago, it's just the paranoia that's increased...

Nope - Don't do it any more. Got tired of people trying to pull my face off.

Admission to our party is 2 bags of candy per person. We then make treat bags up for each guest and the leftover goes into our cauldron so never have to go trick or treating.

I love trick-or-treating its alot of fun more fun than when we were little kids and egging houses causing trouble and free candy every year we visit the grave yard just to mess around

Growing up in Israel, trick or treating was really foreign to me.

I LOVE IT....go all out.... give lots of goodies, and usually go to a party after....

I have lots to make up!

LOL

do you turn over gravestones?

is that part of the fun

Actually, I take my grandsons around to trick or treat and protect them from the would be treaters who have other
things on their minds.

Also I remember when Halloween was mostly about tricks, for we had no candy or treats during the Second World War. But the older boys and later that was me too, put out houses in fun places, and parked cars on the comb of the barn roof of our neighbors.

Halloween is a stupid excuse of a "holiday".
I have never been Trick-or-Treating, nor intend to.
