So wrote one of my top 5 favourite writers, Garbiel Garcia Marquez in 'Love in the Time of Cholera'.
And after weeks of winter weather avoiding a tumble, I have fallen really hard today on ice covered by dry snow.
And omg it hurts. Luckily, I avoided breaking my wrist again (FOOSH) and put most of the fall on my right hip and leg....but 30 years ago, a fall on ice triggered deep vein thrombosis and Pulmonary embolii...this one appears to have resulted in more injury to my stress fracture in the left foot.
Have you managed (for those in the cold climate) to avoid a bad fall this year so far?
Will you come and empty my bedpan while I am reclining in traction and recovering?
