If I'm not attracted to black, Asian, dark skinned Latinos, or whatever, I don't want to have them showcased when I'm paying for the website.

I mentioned my race and who my friends were to point out that I'm not a racist in any way, shape or form. I began my comment with that and then continued with my opinion.

Sexual attraction is not a biological fact, it is a social construct, as simple as that. What one finds attractive is very much dictated by societal norms, culture, and racism (even if its subtle). This doesn't mean that one is a racist overtly, one may still have friends who are different ethnicities, but the fact that one might not find another "race" attractive is still racist non the less. Its a very subtle form of racism, can be harmful in the long run, but not threatening. And non-whites can't just blame us for this, you need to de-colonise your own minds first, appreciate your own colour, race, culture, etc, and maybe we'll also start to do the same.

a study was conducted where thousands of resumes were sent to job postings in boston and chicago. for each job, two IDENTICAL resumes were sent. however, each pair of identical resumes had different names, a stereotypically white sounding name (brent, my name) or a stereotypically black sounding name (tyrone).

for the resumes that had stereotypically black sounding names, the social scientists received FIFTY PERCENT fewer responses. remember, everything was absolutely the same, the same jobs were applied to, the same resumes were sent, the only difference were race infused first and last names.

if that doesnt say something about our culture (note: these are two of the most liberal cities in america) i dont know what does.

Sully, thank you for this link, i find it interesting, dissapointing, and unfortunately not surprising from the areas the study was done in. in any scientific study, there must be "controls", and if i were to repeat this study correctly, i would do as the original study did, but i would also perform the same study in the deep south, one in a black community, and one in a white, and i would predict opposite results for each respective community. i would also do this study in San Francisco, LA, Oklahoma City, New York City, Orlando, Seatle, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Washington Dc, and perhaps a few more cities to somewhat get equal coverage of the Nation. then i would look at the results and see what happens. The reason i say this, is because the results of two cities cannot be used to judge an entire population. and back to the original comment of "White Pride", i believe there is a difference between white pride and racial ignorance (or racial stereotypes/biases). the former,,,being more outspoken of racial differences, and the later, a sort of quiet ignorance "running in the background".

i think you guys are missing the point of this thread. it's not that one site is only white or one site is only black. it's that all the "sameness" of whichever website is really fucking boring.

the 2004 presidential elections showed a distinct different between those voting more liberally to those voting more conservatively. those who were liberal tended to have completed a higher level of education, than those who were conservative.

but even if the higher level of education and voting were just a total fluke in the last election. it's still valid to say that the large amount of ignorance perpetuated throughout minority population about gays can only be dispelled by education.

in a country where 91% of all hispanics who enter college, don't graduated, it's easy to see that education is a very difficult thing to attain in almost any minority group.

I can only think there would be two main reasons for NOT using non-white models.

1. There are fewer non-white models available (and willing) to do this kind of work.

2. Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher have carved out a sizable niche in the porn marketplace, and have built up a respectable (paying) audience for the websites they produce. This clientele appreciate the models on offer. They are happy with what they see (presumably), so why change things?
