Yeah my hardware problems is because windows is being forced on pc's, and like with the whole phoenix bios which allows you to only install windows on that PC.
So the hardware problem is Microsoft's problem for being bitches (Monopoly much assholes? Mac has like 12% share I think). Installing on Ubuntu is easy, apt-get\synaptic\of the synaptic add remove\or compile the program. The screen resolution can be changed easily, what are your screen's dimensions? Why would any one want to use wine? Linux free applications own!! MSN for example has a shit load of free awesome replacements: Kmess, Amsn, Gaim you name it.
No, the hardware problem is with the manufacturers. If they don't want to optimize their hardware with Windows, it is their fault, not Microsofts. I suppose you want Microsoft to tell them to optimize the hardware with it, but yet you cry monopoly? Oh please. If you buy shitty hardware, scream at the fucking people who make the hardware.

Apple doesn't have this problem because they make everything in house. This is why the Mac experience is superior to almost anything else.

The free applications aren't anywhere near the level of the paid stuff. Nothing free can do what Photoshop does. You can promote Openoffice.org all you want, it still isn't as powerful or intuitive (look at Office 2007 interface) as the Office suite. Not to mention there are tons of applications that people need to use for work.

And you do know MSN is Microsoft Networks right? And is dead. Go with their Live products, very amazing.

Why do I have to do all that shit? Why the fuck do I have to go to a website, then suddenly have to open a program to get the file. Why can't I go to the website, download and install. I do that, and I am looking for the install script to run.

Again, just go Mac if you don't want to deal with viruses. But then again, it's the calm before the storm on the Mac virus front.

And no, it doesn't matter that Ubuntu is free. People are willing to pay if they know they will get a good experience out of something, and a garauntee that there will be support if they have a problem. Thats why capitalism works.

No sweetie, Capitalism gave Microsoft a monopoly to overprice shit, Microsoft was sued in Europe for ripping customers off. And also, it seems to me that people who are willing to pay so much instead of enjoying a great product for free, and learning are idiots. Also, what good experience comes out of windows, I despise it. Because of capitalism, I will need to build my own PC instead of buying it because Microsoft wants only Windows to be the default on desktops, and I pay a shit load more to have this glorious OS. BTW Ubuntu has great community support, a Google search will easily solve your problem.

When I'm forced to use Windows to run this hardware, Which Microsoft chose, it's their fault. ROFL because Linux doesn't have shareware, trialware applications? MSN maybe :p but not yahoo or IRC or other protocols that I use. Ok it seems that you're just lazy so I can't really argue with you, you want easy install until 4df.dll is missing :o

Well next time buy a linux computer. You do have to ask for it, but they have them. Then put Ubuntu over the crappy Linux OS that comes with the computer and watch the same hardware fuck ups. Yahoo doesn't have trial stuff, but they sure do have Premium memberships with the premium memberships being the thing you want. Flickr is a good example of that one.

But Yahoo is about to go the way to the dodo bird so who cares about them anymore?

And I am watching Never Back Down.
