Jesus, if that's true Pakistan is going to have a lot to answer for. Both from the government and from the families of 9/11 victims.

I wonder if Hillary's been playing hardball behind the scenes. I could imagine her walking into the office of a Pakistani leader and tearing them a new one.

MSNBC has an interesting breakdown of how this actually happened. The intelligence that led to this started before 9/11, continued on through the Bush administration, and culminated in the operation where Bin Laden was killed. No pakistanis were involved at all, barely anyone knew about it, and it was a 'dead of night' operation with helicopters dropping in to get him.

this is a victory for our commander in cheif and his name is Obama. There will be implications for him as a result of that.

I am a new england pragmatist. I have not changed one note or weaseled out of anything.

Tonight is a great victory for this nation and Obama is the man that gave it to us where other presidents failed.

you can celebrate the great americans who brought this to us or you can do what you are doing... either way, it wont change what I believe or my ability to voice it.

oh good grief can we stop the personal attacks and just enjoy this good event?

Lots of people deserve credit, the soldiers who conducted the mission, Obama for authorizing it, Bush for his years of pursuit of this, lots of people in the military and intelligence communities who supported it, etc.

We're not leaving Afghanistan any time soon because of this. In fact, it will probably extend our stay.

and I would add that George Bush and Barack Obamas Defense secretary, mr Gates, needs to be congratulated as well. he has done alot of cleaning up and he worked for both parties and presidents. ..|
