Wow, Wisconsin really wants this guy gone. Overreaching Republican Scott Walker is facing a recall election. The people of Wisconsin have collected 1.12 million signatures, over twice the amount needed for a recall. :=D:

Scott Walker is going out of state begging for money from wealthy supporters. Millions of dollars will pour into Wisconsin trying to prop him up. Today Walker cried on Rush Limbaugh's shoulder.

It's apparent Wisconsin realized voting him into office was a complete and utter mistake.

Now they have to get rid of Rick Snyder of Michigan and Rick Scott of Florida. Voting these Tea Party radicals in in 2010 was a tragedy America needs to correct. The Koch brothers money won't help this time. Overreaching republicans are being rejected.

Yes. I hope the Wisconsin Dems come up with a good candidate to retire that scumbag Scott Walker.

I think he'll get recalled no problem. It's a good thing... the people will speak and Scott Walker will be removed. They certainly collected more then enough of signatures, and this is another step in removing Tea Party radicals from power.

I hope so.

My dog would make a better governor than Walker -- he's at least friendly, and knows not to shit on people.

Walker is in New York at a fundraising dinner hosted by the former head of AIG, one of the companies that caused the economic meltdown.

He's also taking money from Texas billionaires.

Scott Walker isn't interested in Wisconsin, he's only interested in out of state money to keep him keep his job.

One of those donors is a man named Bob J. Perry, a billionaire from Houston, Texas. If you know his name, it’s because of his donations to another group that has been disastrous for working families: The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who attacked Senator John Kerry’s military record during the 2004 Presidential campaign.

The sooner they get rid of this asshole the better.

^ are you from Wisconsin ?

Didn't think so

Don't forget the lovely and talented John Kasich, former Fox broadcaster! :D

By the way, Snot Wanker received many dollars from Texas.

Involvement by the individual is the best way of standing up to Koch Brothers' money! The people still matter. Sorry neocons. Fuck Citizens United! ..|

The problem with Mr. Walker is not that he's Republican (though he is) or that he's an arch conservative (though he is) or even that he's polarizing (that he definitely is). It's that he barely knows anything. What little he does know is either fanciful (thinking that the governorship allows him to decertify unions) or just plain wrong (as in thinking he can reallocate federal transportation grants for purposes different from what they were awarded for).

I've written this before on this board but it bears repeating: Mr. Walker makes his decisions based on the voice of Jesus, who speaks to him in his head. This "inner" voice has told him who to marry and what jobs to take. In his own words, he's said that he has no other choice but to obey. Cynics might write this off as just a figure of speech. It is not; he's absolutely sincere. Knowing that, it makes a lot of his behavior more understandable. It explains why he doesn't use reason or analysis before making a decision. After all, how could logic or problem-solving skills trump Jesus?

I don't know who will come after Mr. Walker, but I do know this: they can't arrive fast enough.

It's not a national issue

If it's not a national issue, then why is Walker making it a national issue? Why is he accepting $$ from corporate fat cats? Why is he taking money from a New York fundraiser and Texas billionaires?

FYI, I have friends and family in Wisconsin and Dan (my other half for 20 years) was a Wisconsin farm boy. I was just in Madison several weeks ago. I've spent much time in the beautiful state and been everywhere from Superior to Milwaukee to Madison to Baraboo to Eau Claire to Green Bay to Fountain City to La Crosse....you name it I've been there. And everyone I've talked to hates Walker with a passion and can't wait to get rid of him.

And Kuli is right, what does that have to do with anything?

Besides the more people talk about this the more Americans will see just how fucked up the Tea Bagger republicans are.

Walker has made this a national issue and don't change the subject. It's an on topic thread.

If it isn't national, why is Mr. Walker traveling around the country and raising funds for his recall election? In the past couple of weeks alone he's held fund-raisers in Washington, DC, Texas and New York, and those are just the ones I know off the top of my head.

Trust me, a ton of money is entering the state of WI and it's coming from beyond our borders (Disclaimer: I live in WI).

Wisconsin is an incredible state. My companion of 20 years is from around Marshfield. I've been there countless times and know every back road of Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau, Marshfield, Stevens Point area. There is an incredible cheese factory in Rudolph we would drive to just to stock up on cheese.

I have first cousins in Milwaukee, Black River Falls, La Crosse and Madison and visit them often. One of my best friends lives in Fountain City (near Alma). There's a guy I know who owns a car dealership in Tomah I visit every time I'm there. I've been to a friend's cabin near Tomahawk. There's a big car show in Iola I go to every year.

No chance, I don't live there, but almost.

Get rid of Walker before he, the tea baggers and all of their out of state money ruin the state.

are you kidding?

he has to raise money to counter the outside the state $ flowing INTO Wisconsin designed to oust him

he would just as soon not have to do it but he has to respond

just as it did when the dems tried unsuccessfully to recall the state senators

do you realize that the recalls this summer had spending at 4-5x that of the original elections?

this is a state issue which instead has been co-opted by national progressive groups in a grotesque way

shit show

Bob --- I appreciate your passion on the issue given your sitch

but it should've been a Wisconsin issue and it is anything but due to overzealousness of the left

Oh please! The rightwing media has capitalized on this to the hilt...led by Fox News.

I cannot wait to vote to recall ... that is if I don't shoot myself first from the ad onslaught that will soon occur :/

Chance1: The Democrats weren't unsuccessful. Two Republican senators lost their seats; no Democrats did.

As far as not wanting to raise money for the recall, Mr. Walker loves that part of politics. It focuses attention on him and gets him the publicity (nationally, I might add) that he seems to crave. He's very narcissistic and has been since college. I know; I was there.

Chance1, I don't know you personally but I'm going to assume that you're a Republican. My advice would be to not defend this man. I've known plenty of Republicans who were honest, intelligent, and fair-minded people. I would include our last three Republican governors in that group. But Mr. Walker's none of those things. His past and present behavior has shown that he is a devious, uneducated, uncaring man. He could almost be termed a sociopath; he meets a lot of the criteria. He's a truly bizarre figure, and if I sat up all night I could not have dreamed up a person like Mr. Walker, much less imagined that he'd have an entire state to manipulate for his own political gain.
