PalacePaul Appreciation Thread

Good Saturday evening, Paul! (*8*)

I hope everything is going well in your preparations for the Immaculate Conception and the other holiday performances. It must be frustrating waiting on the conductors, because you can't plan until they let you know what they're planning. And it makes you wonder if they've even looked at the programs and music to be performed yet. But just relax and don't let it get to you.

Thank you for posting, John.

The concert today went incredibly well after some disastrous rehearsals.
My first nightmare week is over! Now on to the second week :ROFLMAO:

Hola Paul , espero que en esta nueva semana te vaya genial , especialmente el Viernes , da lo mejor de ti para que todo salga bien

Good Thursday afternoon, Paul! (*8*)

Are you ready for the Immaculate Conception tomorrow night? I'm glad that Sunday's concert went so well after you had reason to doubt that it was ready.

Well, a lot has happened since my last post...
We did a pretty good job on that Immaculate Conception mass.
The next day a retired bishop died, and we had to sing for the funeral mass. Everyting was good.

On a personal level. That cute student I like very much... has a partner :( I feel so stupid again. Once again I fell for the wrong person.
I wish I could be ice cold and don't feel anything ever again

Hello Paul , it's great to know everything went well last Friday .
I am sorry you fell for the wrong person , someday you will meet a man who likes you as much as you like him

I also wish I was as cold as ice and be emotionally numb , but that's not my nature
Let's keep hope that one day things will get better for us ( in the partner aspect )

Espero tengas un Jueves agradable mas tarde Amigo

Good Thursday afternoon, Paul! (*8*)

I'm glad that the Immaculate Conception and the Funeral Masses went well. I trust that you will be busy, but all the performances will go well.

It does hurt when you find out someone you're interested in is with somebody else, but then again, be happy that things are going so well for him. You might say that you wish you could be cold as ice, but you really don't want that. What makes you feel is what makes you human. You don't want to become like those bitter old queens, whose hatred and contempt poisons their very souls. Mr. Right will come along for you soon enough.

Thank you my friends.

I want to be happily single again. No more fantasies, no more crushed dreams.
Of course I'm glad for him, he deserves it. I'd like to meet his partner, too, and we could all be friends. Nothing weird, just honest friendship. Because it's hard and lonely being gay in this town, you know?

Hello again Paul , I can relate to feeling lonely
Being gay and lonely in a small city is quite hard ( I feel very depressed and hypersensitive sometimes and I cry feeling hopeless ) I know what it feels like , and finding a partner is more complicated
At least I'd like to have genuine friends in this town , but it's not easy ... people pretend a lot ...

All we can do is to keep hope and hold onto our dreams , I hope you make new friends in the near future

Espero tengas un Viernes agradable mas tarde amigo

Hi Paul! I'm home and well and happy. Tomorrow is my Chrisrmas shopping day.

I'll be home for a month. It's nice to have a winter day and not go out. Sometimes.

Good Sunday night/Monday morning, Paul! (*8*)

I trust that you're doing well with the concerts and choir directing. I hope you're actually enjoying all that you're doing, and it isn't stressful or keeping you too busy.

I just came home from a stupid rehearsal, a total waste of time. And the concert is on Friday. But hey, I'm just playing my score as best as I can, I'm not in charge of all this :ROFLMAO:
Of course this conductor is better than me  , but I would never make my choir work under these circumstances...

Good night everyone (*8*)

Good Friday afternoon, Paul! (*8*)

I'm sorry you're having to attend useless rehearsals. One thing I learned, at least at my level of experience, is that rehearsals should give the musicians the confidence that they know the music they'll be performing, both individually and as a group. If that doesn't happen, what's the point of the rehearsal? Nonetheless, I hope your performances go well, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Good afternoon Andrew, John, Rm, Frankie, Thad, Michael and any other contributor to this thread (excuse me if I forgot your names )

It's a busy day. This morning I played the usual Sunday mass.
After that the choir and I went to the senior priests' home to sing some Christmas carols for them. That was lovely.
Tonight it's midnight mass, and it's gonna be freezing cold.

I bought myself an old book for only 2€ !

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas (*8*)

Merry Christmas, Paul! (*8*)

I hope you've had a good time with your performances, and that you can rest a bit. Or do they do some sort of 12 Days of Christmas thing over there? Hope you didn't get too cold going out to Midnight Mass last night. And I hope you have a wonderful day today.
