PalacePaul Appreciation Thread

Hola Paul , I dread funerals as they remind me of how fragile lives are , I hope you can play at you friend's mother funeral

I know it's easy to say it , but we have to be strong when we witness death , and the mourning that comes with it , we all will die one day anyway

I hope you have a better week My Friend
Hola Frankie

Good Tuesday afternoon, Paul! (*8*)

I hope you had a good celebration of St. John's Day, we don't have that in the States. I'm sorry you're being confronted with so much death around you, but then again it's part of life. I belong to several organizations which all tend to be populated by the elderly, so it's not unusual to hear of yet another person passing away.

Good Sunday evening, Paul! (*8*)

I hope you've been having a good weekend, that playing at all those wedding and funerals haven't been stressing you out.

Good evening, RM and John. I hope you had a good weekend.

Yesterday was a busy day. I went to a distant place to play yet another wedding and pay a visit to the local organist (a 90 year old lady).
It was also Saint Paul's day, my patron saint. These are still remembered in Spain. I got messages and calls from a lot of people, actually many more than I expected.

Today I got to see my cousin, together with his wife and kids. He was playing with his band two blocks from here :)

Good Thursday afternoon, Paul! (*8*)

It sounds like you had a nice St. Paul's Day. It sounds like you celebrate them much like birthdays, with people calling you to wish you a good day. It also sounds like you're doing well, visiting towns with their elderly organists, and getting to see your cousin and his family.

Yes, on any saint's day people usually call or text each other. Some people may have a meal with family, but it's as far as it gets.
Well, visiting an old lady who can barely walk isn't my kind of fun, but I had to do it. I missed her hot grandson only by a few hours :( (he had left that same morning)

Happy 4th of July to all of you who celebrate!

Fun fact: around this day in 2004 I had my first hook up with a guy. So this year is 20 years of gay sex for me (!)

Good evening everyone (*8*)
This week I planned a couple trips on my own, since I cant' have actual holidays.
On Tuesday I visited a good archaeology museum near Barcelona, then I went to the big city to have lunch and do some shopping. The weather was cool enough for this time of year.
Yesterday I drove through the country side to a distant town to visit 2 organs in their cathedral. Honestly I was surprised at the quality of the restorations. I saw many beautiful landscapes along the road.
The old former organist died today, but luckily I had planned ahead for the funeral music.

I hope you had a nice week and will enjoy the weekend :)

Good Monday afternoon, Paul! (*8*)

I'm glad to hear that you're getting out on some nice local trips, and getting to check out some nice old church organs. Hope all is well with you.

Good evening, John.
Today we had a course about Gregorian Chant with the choir, it was really interesting and the teacher was very nice. We learnt a lot.
It's been hot all day but right now I can hear some thunder in the distance. I hope we get some rain here.

I hope you have a good weekend (*8*)
