Today we went on another hike in the woods with our lovely group. The funny thing is this time we were all male... woof!!
Some of the views over the river were impressive.
I had a good time.

Good evening
It's been a busy week.
On Wednesday I spent the day in Barcelona. First we sorted some old papers from the organ society, then we had a meeting. I forgot how exhausting the big city is. How can people live there??
On Friday evening I participated in a charity concert for lung cancer research. That was better than I expected.
Last night I went to a sex club to have some wild time. That's my break from day to day life.
And I just found this:

I'm glad to hear that you had fun at that sex club. Us single guys have to get out there too.

It sounds like you were busy in Barcelona, sorting through organ society papers, a charity concert, and being in the city. I've read several novels about people living a fast-paced life in New York, it sounds terribly exhausting. It's interesting that most of them leave the city after about 10 years.

Today I went back to that distant village on the coast where they had a celebration for the 91-year-old organist. Actually she can't play anymore (she can't barely walk). That was a beautiful event. They showed a new documentary about the old lady and the beautiful 17th century organ. A boy played a piece he composed himself, and I played something, too.
Fortunately it didn't end too late.
The weather was cold with strong wind, a shiny winter day.
I went with a younger organist friend and a singer.

Es grato y significativo que le hayan realizado un homenaje a la artista de edad avanzada . Muchas personas de esa edad necesitan homenajes y muestras de que aun son valiosas , es un bonito gesto que le hayan organizado esa celebracion.

John, remember that Yuca you mentioned earlier? I've been keeping it for months and I never saw any sign of life, so today I got rid of it

Today a young boy (must be 10 or 11) asked to play All I want for Christmas. He already knows the melody by memory and he was excited to learn. How gay is that??

It's Thanksgiving here in the States, but I suppose it's just another day where you are.

I guess that Yucca really was dead when you took it out of the trash. It's a plant that should have responded to your care if it had any life in it at all.

It must have been fun to have that young boy that was so eager to play the organ, even though you might have desired a more challenging song. That reminds me of some years ago, when my cousin's then- 7 year old son wanted me to sing Believe It or Not to him. I don't even remember who sang it. I wasn't exactly thrilled, especially since I didn't particularly like the song.

I wasn't exactly thrilled, especially since I didn't particularly like the song.

Actually it's a piano pupil. Today we worked on that song again and he talked about how young Mariah looks despite being in her 50s. (That's so GAY!!! which makes the boy even lovelier)

You're totally right. The weeks before Christmas are the worst. Every day I have to remember what's coming next. What pieces should I practice first??
My organ student gave me some old books; one of them are Christmas pieces by Alexandre Guilmant (typical French romantic music). I tried them and it sounds wonderful at the cathedral
