I think she's realized her "I'm an airhead heiress who's famous for being famous" act has expired. That's why we haven't heard from her in a while.

I'm glad. Even she was probably sick of the media making a huge hoopla of her mere existence and blaming her for being a bad role model. Like she ever sought out to be one in the first place.

"When my parents and my grandfather came over for the first time, I was so proud. It just feels good to like walk around and be like ... I earned all this, you know? I see some of my friends I grew up with from rich families. Their parents spoiled them and they never made them work and just give them an allowance. And now they're like 30 and still living off the parents, having to ask for everything, being on a budget. It's nice to feel accomplished and independent. Paris Hilton to Avoid Jail in Las Vegas Arrest

The district attorney in Las Vegas says Paris Hilton will avoid jail time on drug charges under the terms of a plea deal worked out with prosecutors.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger said Friday Hilton has agreed to plead guilty Monday to two misdemeanors stemming from her Aug. 27 arrest in Las Vegas.

Hilton, 29, was arrested inside the Wynn resort, after police say a small plastic bag containing 0.8 grams of cocaine fell out of her Chanel purse as she reached for a tub of lip balm in front of a police lieutenant.

A copy of the plea agreement obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal shows Hilton will plead guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer to avoid two consecutive six month-sentences in the Clark County Detention Center.


Instead, Hilton will serve a year of probation.

"Hilton understands the seriousness of the situation and appreciates the chance she is being given," David Chesnoff, the attorney representing the hotel heiress, told The Associated Press.

I guess i shouldn't expect much from people arresting celebs and making them do the time NORMAL people would do, but still, does she have to do a Lane Garrison and kill someone before she actually gets punished by the law?

I'd be surprised if she got more than 2 months for murder.

Not to mention the fact that anyone who wasn't rich and famous would spend decades in prison for that amount of cocaine.

^While drunk driving might be a slap on the wrist for celebs now, i thought at LEAST cocaine was zero tolerance territory(and i'm speaking of being caught - not having stories about your use like a musician or something).

I thought Lindsay Lohan got caught with cocaine while driving? She got off with 90 minutes of jail, got out, violated her parole and still only got only 2 weeks of jail.

So I think cocaine is kind of a slap on the wrist now.
