I would be concerned about "adverse" spirits. I had a real bad experience with a Quija board. I looked at it as something fun, a type of game. It scared the shit out of me.
Another experience with evil, involved meeting a person, in a casual way. I walked up to the guy to say "hello" and chat. I got a overwhelming feeling to cut it short and move away. It turned out several years later, he was arrested for being a serial killer.
I'm sure we all have come in contact with some form of evil. I don't know much about Wicca. I do know when dealing with the spiritual world, be careful.
.
The sociopathic "evil" of a serial killer have more to do with his mortal character and mundane deeds than anything supernatural.
Yet, such people's lives do become flop houses for adverse forces, parasitic on the vibrations of hate and fear generated by those people and others around them.
Then there are the "demonists" and Luciferians (not Wiccans) who are conscioius of the supernatural powers they choose to dabble with, .but have too much arrogance to see danger in their thrills.
In both cases, "Plan 'A'" is not to go out of the way to engage Crazy Bubba or Warlock Skippy in a friendly chat.
If they're unavoidable, "Plan 'B'" is to project the psychic message behind a soft whisper, at whatever's polluting their auras, "You have no power to do me harm. I have no fear. You will leave now."
(That's a simple version. For demonists/Luciferians with stronger connections to dark thoughforms, the litany might need spicing with ritual phrases in Greek and Enochian.)
Different reactions among those people. Whether they walk off or hang around, I don't have to deal with their bugs.
Off the street, for a ceremony, the area's cleansed, then a magical barrier is built around it, the space is consecrated for the work of the Goddess and God, and otherworldly beings are summoned to witness, guide, and protect.
Ouija boards, on the other hand, are like putting your banking info and home address online for every criminal to see.
