Paula Deen

Re: Paula Deen's Brunch Burger

An eight ounce patty does not fit on an English muffin. That's dumb.

Thomas' used to make sandwich size english muffins. There were four in a package and I bought them all the time. They have disappeared. I can't find them any longer in California, bummer.

Re: Paula Deen's Brunch Burger

Somebody oughta store her in an airtight container for 6 months...

Re: Paula Deen's Brunch Burger

Filthy foreigner alert - what's the English for an English Muffin?

We in .za only have the sweet banana/apple/blueberry/choc-chip Pillsbury-type muffins, clearly not suitable as a hamburger roll. So what is this English muffin of which you speak?

^Ah, cheers.

That's a crumpet to us. You people out in the colonies should really learn the language! :p

While I'm at it, what's wrong with a good, old-fashioned bread-roll for the burger? Muffins and doughnuts? Crazy!

Re: Paula Deen's Brunch Burger

I just think its hilarious to suggest doughnuts as buns.

Does this really shock anybody? Paula dean thank you for supplying us with tasty sounding things to salivate over in the break room.

[-X The English muffin is not the crumpet.

But anyway, the whole point behind the donut is to get the flavor combo of sweet and savory.

Also, this isn't Paula's burger. I first saw this recipe on a cartoon, The Boondocks, and it was attributed to Luther Vandross. :gogirl: After that, tongues started wagging and here we are.
