Ok, this is a whinge, but it's irritating me. I went out on Friday night to catch up with a friend, and afterwards I went up to Oxford Street to have a few drinks and just relax. Work had been stupid-busy and I just wanted to relax.
I had a black laptop bag with me to carry my umbrella and my novel, but had left the laptop at home on Friday because I knew I was going out. I had it sitting at my feet under the table and when I went to leave the bag was gone.
I have no idea why, I usually have everything, wallet, phone etc in the front pocket of the bag, but for some reason I had it them in my pockets so I was lucky in that respect, however I had over $600 in the back of my bag so I didn't spend my board.
All in all, they didn't get anything but the money, but that someone would be able to take it from under the table, without me noticing has left me feeling kind of flat. It's not about the money or anything else that was in the bag, it's the fact someone just took it. I've had phones stolen in the past, but it never left me feeling this flat as having a ratty looking bag taken.
At least I had most of the important stuff on me, not in the bag. I'll get over it, and there was nothing in the bag with my address or anything, but it still annoys me that people seem to think stealing is acceptable. I wish I'd been there when they opened it and found a motley collection of crap, and I hope they were too stupid to open the note book.
