People pushing shopping carts and yapping on a cell phone are just about as bad as people on a cell whilst driving a car. They become oblivious to everything around them.
I went grocery shopping this afternoon and got stuck behind some ignorant bitch who was stopped right in the middle of the aisle and yapping away on her cell phone. I excused myself twice to get her attention (I didn't) and ended up having to tap her shoulder. When she turned around, she gave me a 'how dare you interrupt my phone call' look from her and was quite put out when she had to move to the side.
There seems to be no cell phone etiquette in the world today.

My very good friend and I have made several long trips by car lately. He spends hours on his cell phone and ignores me. The trips have been for his benefit. We have had several heated conversations about this. I think it is absolutely rude to ignore the one you are with to chat with someone else.
