Lucky you. I have seen him at events and he is a douche. I have seen him flirting with models etc. Then the next day on his site see him attack that model. He is a vile fame whore.
But his 15 mins are coming to a close. Readership on his blog is way down this year. The problem is he wants to be as famous as the people he rips apart on his blob. That is whats killing him. Plus the fact that he has no appeal at all on camera.
You cant one week rip someone to shreds. Then the next week pose for pictures with them without losing some credibility.

I made a thread on this topic before that went on like 5 pages.

Perez Hilton is a joke and I agree that he isn't the best person to be representing gay people. He's not going to convince anyone. I can't believe this is still in the news though.

Miss California and Perez should just go finger bang each other and fall off the face of the earth.

Hmmm....are you fighting for equality? If your friends or family put down LGBT people, do you set them straight? Do you advocate for civil rights? Do you vote for equality? I hope so.

Yeah I read the thread and watched the Harvey video.

No I'm not fighting for equality and I can't vote as I'm not a citizen. Doesn't mean I can't have an opinion though.

Fighting the cause is good but when someone who conducts themselves like Perez does is getting headlines, that isn't really helping the cause. It's just two idiots getting media attention and making fools of themselves.

I'm not trying to stop you from having an opinion or expressing that opinion. But personally, I'd rather have someone who's willing to fight for equality, even if I think they're going about it the wrong way, rather than someone who's dead weight, someone who's turning their back on the situation. Since you think Perez is a bad role model or a bad representative of the equal rights movement, why don't you set the better example? You don't have to be out to take a stand for equality.

So, you're not a citizen. That explains why you needed the higher ASVAB score and where the waiver issue came in. I had wondered about that.

Well even if I was one, I'd still need a waiver.

You'll need waivers for many things. Criminal history (any kind), speeding tickets, surgeries, credit history.... it varies from branch to branch but now I'm getting off topic.

Anyway, yeah... Perez is a jackass. Nuff said. It IS good that this is getting the gay marriage topic back in the news but not in this light.

Ms. California had every right to say what she did, as did Hilton.

Personally, I think the problem is that Hilton took it to a lower level by using more "colorful" language (as it appears he always does.) Instead of maybe offering a formal debate (I know, this is highly unlikely given his public personality and mentality), he immediately resorted to a personal attack. This is of course anyone's right, but I do not believe this is helpful to ANY cause. While we all clearly disagree with Ms. California, the ad hominem makes Hilton look bad as well. I think it would have been better to take the high road and either ignore her answer and let the media deal with it and/or offer a cohesive rebuttal.

Okay done being sarcastic. I am tired of people saying that they respect her OPINION. But what if she had said something like Blacks and Whites should not have the right to marry? Would you still respect her for her opinion? Gay marriage is just as important as interracial marriage. Both are basic human rights. And Miss California is an idiot and I don't see why you should hate Perez for bringing down a homophobe like her. At least he's helping the cause unlike you, a whiner who does nothing to help the community but whine whine whine. I hope you're proud.
