yesterday i stopped by the nissan dealership to look at the altima sedan. i thought it was nice car, well appointed and rather comfy. but there was one thing that just bugged me: the car had a foot actuated parking break.

for some reason, i don't know why but i just don't like those parking breaks. for me it has to be the hand break in between the driver and passenger seat. sort of irrational? yes it is.

so for shits and giggles what nonsensical, irrational pet peeve do you harbor?

my new pet peeve are trolls who hang around the boards and do whatever they can to fuck up the flow.

ok, that isn't a new one. it's always been a pet peeve.

I didn't disrupt the flow. Honestly as I first posted, my pet peeve is how people are so easily upset. You took offense to that, not my problem. I didn't resort to personal name calling or go on the rambling defensive as you did.

I compared lists with my coworker on Friday after a particularly infuriating call... the caller was carrying on a secondary conversation with someone else while on the phone.

But she trumped me with the people who call to get a phone number for another agency or office, I mean that was the only reason they called us, and they don't have a pen with which to write said number down when we give it to them.

People are weird.

4. People who don't arrive somewhere on time. So I get there at the designated time and i have to get a seat by myself and hope people don't think I have imaginary friends.
5. Shit talking while playing video games. I don't mind grunting or sound effects of sadness, but I don't need to hear sentences.
6. People who tell you of trips and expect you to go at the drop of a hat. Some people have jobs that care if you show up.
7. People who love to fucking argue. There's nothing wrong with having a disagreeing discussion. But there are some people who just love arguing for the sake of arguing.
8. People who go 5 miles or more under the speed limit and there is no weather to permit it.

I could probably think about more things but those are the immediate ones because my friends do most of this shit.

o/p/ my first vehicle..no 1st 2 vehicles had that parking brake system..it is actually more convenient sometimes.

elvin, i agree phones suck. to immediate and in yr face. re yr peanut butter problem...save yr fast food plastic ware or go buy a pkg of cheap plastic knives...use and toss...easy eh?

There are lots of things that drive me crazy on the computer, mostly revolving around software that does what it feels like doing, not what I told it to do...

But you probably mean more like things people do. I hate when clerks are rude in stores for no reason. Acting cranky, talking to the other clerks instead of the customers, etc.

I also hate telemarketing, like everybody does, especially robo-calls where it doesn't do any good to scream Fuck You at them.

Also people who keep their dogs chained up in their yard, which is very popular around here.

Oh yeah, and the "Iowa 4-way stop sign": "You go [waves hand]" "No, you go" "No really, I'm in no hurry, you go first" etc etc etc

Any volume control with numbers, like my TV for example, HAS to be on an even number. ALL the time, every time. I can't stand it when it's on an odd number and for the life of me, I have no idea why.
