I never found Totodile to be all that cute, though I always loved other water Pokemon, especially Squirtle and Marill (super controversial during the Red and Blue days).

My first Pokemon ever. :mrgreen:

I distinctly remember having the batteries on my Gameboy die every time he'd evolve into Ivysaur, and we didn't have any replacement ones. So frustrating!

I love how many of the grass Pokemon learned the status-inducing powders...and many of their attacks were just cool to watch. :P

HAHA, this reminds me of the time I traded my Venusaur card for a Machamp. I was in 5th grade and absolutely had no idea of the idiocy I had just committed. Never saw another Venusaur. #-o I did have Charizard though (and still do)!

I used to have a binder full of cards...after the fad ended, off to goodwill. Ah, I wish I could get all that money back.

I just gave them away to my 11 year old cousin this past weekend. Apparently kids still like them. My Charizard is still firmly in my possession however, as is my nerd valiadtion card I just received as I was typing this reply. #-o

I'd like to play Black or White when it hits the states...I still like playing FireRed every now and then. But they need to really revamp the series. It's overdue.

I'm looking forward to those too, though I agree with you that it's a bit annoying that the games have been basically identical since 1998 (US release).

I totally don't have pokémon figures sitting on my computer desk top shelf infront of me that I collected as a kid, stored away, found recently and decided to put up there along with my final fantasy, dragonball z and Spike from Buffy figure. Totally nothing nerdy going on there.
