Political Cartoons, Memes & Amusing Videos

The interesting thing is that no one is actually losing money in this; the majority of student loans have a high enough interest that if payments were taken off the principal the loans would have been paid back. So for the most part, all that's being lost is the future profit.

The interesting thing is that nobody should be in debt trying to get an education. Another concept that will draw gasps and disgust when our enlightened descendants read about it 1,000 years from now. "Paying, to learn?"

That's misrepresentation. I hate the decision, but it stands in a strong legal tradition that anything the Constitution doesn't give Congress authority over belongs to the states, especially when Congress hasn't even spoken.

More to the point, it was an attack on the right to privacy and a very ignorant one at that since previous Courts have found the right to privacy in the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments.

Yeah, I know, I just had to post something along with my other shit

Re: Political Cartoons, Memes & Amusing Videos

I didn't see that cartoon, it's hilarious. I wonder if belamo got the joke.

A mere slap did not seem THAT funny to me, if that is the 'fun' intended.

The probem is that the present court could give a fuck about stare decisis and already shat on the Constitution.

They just make up shit to fig leaf the decision their masters require.

That is also true: it is happening everywhere, wonder how historians and political sociologists will come to name that phaenomenon.

The flip side here is that conservatives said the very same thing for years when the left dominated the court.

We need a new system for picking justices, but I have no idea how to do that.

^ That is why it has not been done.

Because it is delusional that the three powers (let alone the fourth estate) are perfectly parallel in "democratic" systems.
The national council of the Judiciary of Spain has been stalemated for over three years because of the same bipartisanship's extreme rottening, to the point of showing up where it wasn't supposed to be.

Remember "democracy" is made "from" the people, "by" the people... so it necessarily must gather from their dirt and prejudice... while the "leftist" ideal views it at some holy democratic spirit descending upon the people (from the better people, by the better people??!? to rule them the better way and for the better.

I thought that with the Philosopher's Stone you wouldn't need a potion.

I guess maybe I should return mine for a refund. :p

You'll probably have to pay a restocking fee.

Actually, at the end of the first book (and movie(, The Philosopher's Stone, Dumbledore told Harry that Nicholas Flamel had agreed to destroy the Stone and that he still had enough potions to keep him and his wife alive so they could wrap up personal business. After that, they would die 'normal' deaths.

Yeah, the "left leaning" courts (which were generally no such thing) never abandoned the law.

This court is blatantly unconstitutional.

Actually the meme is a lie. Marijuana dispensaries tend to be run by the folks that live around their locations.

We just spend several decades and billions of dollars incarcerating black men for selling marijuana. Now white guys are opening dispensaries and getting rich off it. The meme might be offensive to certain power structures but it's far from a lie. You can't "nuh uh" stuff that's happening in real time that anyone with eyeballs can look up. :rotflmao:

If you're not following Lavern Spicer on twitter, you're missing out on some of the hottest hot takes such as "There are no pronouns in the constitution," "Jesus never introduced himself with pronouns" and "Stop teaching kids pronouns and start teaching them grammar." :bartshock She makes Marjorie Taylor Greene look like a rodes scholar.

I don't have the patience tonight to photoshop a tweet so pretend I doctored one from her that says "Stop teaching kids algebra and start teaching them math." Funny, right? :rotflmao:

I stated why the meme is a lie. The people owning dispensaries tend to be the people living in that place.

Where I live about 12% of the community is minorities, but 40% of the dispensaries are run by minorities.
