My friends in Europe and the Middle East look at DeSantis and Trump and say, "It's about time you got an autocratic populist nutjob, too".

People in Florida are still thinking that it can't happen in their State. And a subset of the the residents think that these autocrats and enablers in the Legislature are different from the autocrats they came to the US to get away from.

The latest stupidity in Florida is a school principal for a liberal arts magnet school in Tallahassee who got fired because she showed a picture of Michelangelo's David and Botticelli's Birth of Venus to 6th graders. Parents were outraged that the teacher, who had taught for over 25 years, showed the works of art without their permission.

On a positive note, Florida's diminishing education standards will continue to supply new performers for the porn industry.
