It cannot be a great surprise that supporting Israel and promoting an eye for an eye have coalesced. In fact, the media soft-pedal it every time the civilian slaughter in Gaza gets mentioned, as they return to the October invasion as a redirect, just as the Israeli government and army do.

We do not want to be Saudi Arabia. We do not want to be Russia. We do not want to be China.

We have our own problems and vices and injustices. We don't need to oppress Jews or Muslims, or women. We don't need to arrest and beat gays or kill them.
