This would be a good opportunity to talk about the Gollumization of Tom Cotton.

Back when Cotton first ran for Congress, he was a smiling ex-military guy who looked healthy and happy:



This is Tom Cotton today. After 10 years of becoming increasingly right wing and becoming a MAGA apologist, he looks like he's slowing rotting from the inside.




Instead of "faces of meth", it should be "faces of MAGA".

TBH though...he likely always harboured a dark and ugly soul. That is the cleverest aspect of sociopaths and psychopaths. They can smile like they are the happiest people on earth. I have known a lot of them over a lifetime dealing with them.

But there is a dark lump of coal where their hearts are supposed to be and their souls are always seeking for validation and material advantage.

I would say though, that the picture in his attic doesn't seem to be absorbing all the pustulence and prurience of his character and soul. It is still definitely leaking out in the pics you've posted.

His ascent was a little too fast. He went from active duty (the military, not the porn studio) into the US House and only served 2 years before he ran for the open Arkansas Senate seat. He's another one of those Ivy League "but I'm just a regular guy like you" types... like Cruz, like Hawley, like Stefanik... who have become demagogues and anti-democracy ideologues.
