It's come out in the news that Trump's "customer" was a pre-selected person. Now we find out that the restaurant was actually closed and the whole thing was a photo op for that other creepy orange clown.

A friend of mine in corporate franchising for a 'Brand' said that this was like a nightmare scenario...where someone just lobs a grenade into the Exec offices and you can neither show real panic or fear, but you need to think of an exit strategy. He figures they are hoping it will quickly burn itself out, but thinks the damage is real and costly.

Shares of the company were down about 6% after the bell.

Everyone interviewed has reported eating at McDonald's before their illness started, and most specifically mentioned eating a Quarter Pounder hamburger, according to the CDC.

The food poisoning events happened in late September and early October, before Trump's campaign event but man... talk about bad timing.
