I seen on the news that Austin has Hispanics who love the Democrat's name for them LatinX.Nobody north of the Border really deals with the sheer amount of racism in Mexico. "Indio" and Black tie for lowest order, but then there are all kinds of words for various degrees and ethnic combinations that end up with "White" on top. When the ones who think they are White get here, they get horribly offended that here, they're just another Mexican and European White is on top - which is not them.
You can tell the degree of racism you're dealing with by what they say to you if you ask. If they say White or Spanish, there's probably an issue. Mexican or Latino is what the people without serious racism will say in Texas. In any event, all of the people - racist or not who might qualify, is dwarfed by the number of them who just say Latino.
I believe that "Hispanic" can also be a problematic word for non-Latinos to use since I get the feeling there is racial/class implication to it in some Latino demographics.
I forgot the left doesn't believe in White Hispanics. You do know that 55 percent of Hispanics voted for Trump in TX. I bet you don't even realize there are Hispanics who do not speak Spanish. I am sure this might not be true in the Austin bubble. I sincerely hope Democrats become a party for all people before 2028.Where exactly are you then, no there is no significant population of Mexicans calling themselves White in Houston, or any quibbly suburb in the Metroplex.
Your statement was false.
