And 6 months from now he will announce that the US has collected billions from China, Mexico, Canada and the EU and all his believers will think he did.

They're about to learn. Among the ridiculous nonsense mentioned with the External Revenue Service is that they're just going to across-the-board tariffs. That would mean most of what is on the shelves at Home Depot, Walmart, Target and every clothing store would jump in price overnight. In some cases, it won't be noticeable because of the retail markup but if you're building a new house (hello- like in Los Angeles?), it's going to hike the price of houses significantly. Quite a bit of lumber and finished cabinetry is imported from Canada.

If a house is being fitted with $50,000 in cabinets, the cost was probably something like $40,000. A 20% tariff would hike the price to $58,000.

I really wish that we could get beyond the mercator line distorted maps. Maybe if Canada and Greenland were shown at true size Trump wouldn't be as interested? And rrrZZia would shrink down to just being wayyyyy smaller.
